So that's a motion-based controller? It looks like it would have MSRP'd for at least $60 at the time. Rare? Probably. I haven't seen one, and I love gimmicky, piece-of-crap controllers.

Same here. Does it have a company name anywhere on it and how does that thing work?

I'm almost positive that I passed on one of those before at a thrift store, I had no idea what it was used for so I left it.

From my research, I found it is called a Gamester Evolution. It was available for both the PlayStation and N64. Here is the box description I found of it:

The very latest motion-sensitive technology enables you to experience true hand-to-eye control and absolute accuracy on your PlayStation.

Tilt the reactor to control in-game movements.
In-build LCD Screen.
Incorporates "Dual Force" vibration technology.
Ambidextrous glove attachment for comfort and natural hands free control.
Works with most Playstation Games: Driving, Flying, First Person Shoot-em-ups.

The Evolution Control system used G-Force Tilt, the latest motion-sensitive technology to control game actions by mirroring a player's actual hand movements.

The PlayStation version can be picked up fairly cheep since most online places seem to charge about $10-25 for it. However, the N64 value could be different. That's all I was able to find but hope it helps.

Holy crap! That doesn't even look like it belongs to the N64 era. Looks like something you would steal from an alien spacecraft of sorts.

I have the PS1 version, but I never opened it, so I can't really comment on how it works.
I bought it merely because I had never seen one before, and I have never seen one since.
So yeah, It's probably "rare", but it's probably not worth anything, merely because who would honestly want it? ;)
