I'm watching Ren and Stimpy on TV right now (TNN is getting reeeeeally cool now :D ) and I remember playing the game that this episode was based on: it was a Game Boy game named something like Ren and Stimpy: Space Dimentia. You ran around the ship collecting toast and stuff and it was really cool.
Anyway, I also realized that I haven't seen my cart of it for quite some time, and it got me thinking: where are all the cool games I once had, but somehow, in some way, lost? I had this game and FF Adventure, and a Star Trek game, and I have no idea where they went. Anyone know where the Mystical Land of Lost Games is so I can find my favorite lost games? Anyone else have this sort of problem?

I rarely lose games, though I haven't been able to track down my R-Zone XPG handheld. I tend to keep everything in a place where I can find it, even if it may not be so easy to get at it. Then again, I'm terribly anal about the way I collect and organize.
As for this "Land of Lost Games", I promise you that if I find it... I'll never tell anyone where it is >)

I lost my GameBoy Donkey Kong cart years ago and ever since I have made sure to keep all my games in ONE place on my shelf. :)

I found my Atari games that I had when I was a kid in my basement a couple months ago. I didn't even know I still had them. The funny thing is, we gave our atari and ALL of the games to my cousin when I got the SMS... Maybe I should check in my basement for more games I gave away. :D

I'm not sure this really relates, but I "found" some games yesterday...
I'm trying to complete my collection of USA Saturn games, and I still have a ways to go... maybe a hundred or so games (mostly sports, pinball, etc.)
I try to inventory ALL my games on my PC... it's well over 1000 now, and I sometimes forget what I have.
Evidently, I have forgotton to add a few games to my inventory, as my check of all my Saturn games revealed that I have 10+ games that I forgot to add to my inventory list, which puts me 10+ games closer to my goal. :D
This happen to anyone else?
I miss my Pengo for Game Gear. :(

two things ive misplaced :/
Im pretty positive i had 2 grey zappers for the nes, not a big deal now (as i have about 15), but id like to find it in my attic somewhere.
Pitfall for the Gameboy color. I think my friend stole it. We used to trade gameboy games for a day back in elementary school. And one day i think he said he left it at home. Then i slowly forgot about it. Ill get the bastard. But it still could be in the "Attic of 2 lost things" ;)

I have lost my copy of Uniracers for the SNES, which sux ass because I LOVED that game! >:(
I also lost Sim Farm, Sim Tower and Sim Isle for the PC. I think that I lent those games to a friend and they departed to "Lost Game Land" :(. I eventually rebought Sim Tower and Sim Isle from a bargain bin for about $9.99CDN.

Speaking of Ren & Stimpy, the new show sucks. Why did they make them homosexual? It seems like they are trying to hard to make it controversal like southpark or something. I want my old Ren & Stimpy back :(

Nah, sorry. Never got very heavy into Game.com (I was actually quite happy when the batteries corroded in it so I could throw the thing away), and I never got the modem. To be honest, I never thought they really released it...

I was just watching what they're now calling Ren & Stimpy Classics right after I think it was Most Extreme Elimination Challenge. But I feel your pain brother; DO NOT BASTARDIZE OUR BELOVED (and smelly most times) REN AND STIMPY!!

Wow, you just made me remember the planet where all the socks went.
Strange, since that was just about the only part of Ren and Stimpy I ever saw, from any episode. Since I saw that years ago when I was a kid, it's just about pure luck that I remembered it (nah, it made am impression on me...and not just an olfactory one, either ;)
I myself am researching this "land of lost games." I think that hunting around the ventillation ducts of some of these megacollectors might be as good a start as any--I know stuff can get lost in those, and if somebody has 10,000 games what's the chance you'll find something in there? If that fails, you'll have at least as much luck hunting behind shelves and whatnot.
Some games are in E.T. land, sleeping in the sand with their asphalt golashes on. Others are doubtless lost inbetween rotting cardigans or bowling shoes from the sixties, while some get kicked underneath a shelf in the garage. Perhaps some have been thrown off a building to show off the effects of gravity on Bill Nye the Science Guy..? (though that was a Macintosh...) Yes, many games suffer the most indignified fate of all: being unloved and forgotten.

Bill Nye the Science Guy, that sure brings back memories. I loved that show as a younger kid. Ah, the mid-nineties... 8-)

i don't think i've ever lost a game and didn't know what happened to it. i've loaned some out that never got returned though. my cd collection is another story. all the time i will go to listen to a cd and its not there and there's no trace of it anywhere. this has happened to me at least 15 times. :(

Games that have disappeared and have never been found:
Gargoyle's Quest (GB, a present from a friend for my 12th B-Day)
Dracula X (SNES)
Harvest Moon (SNES)
Zelda (NES, the original 5 screw release)
and this stuff was accidently knocked into the garbage:
GB Color + DW3!
