I thought the whole thing was well done, from the timing and the editing all the way to the closing credits. Great job!

Nice video! I had no idea there were so many NES Baseball games. I owned R.B.I. Baseball when I was a kid. Lots of memories with this pudgy player graphics!

notice rbi baseball 2 and 3 lost a lot of the charm of the original when they went for a more realistic look

I really enjoyed the video, really took me back.

Also, the cheerleaders in the little league game? Seemed a little out of place, don't remember cheerleaders at my little league games. Would have been nice though.

That was cool. I own all of those except Bo Jackson's Baseball. I think the NES had a really solid lineup or BBall games as this video clearly shows.

I was hoping Baseball Stars would have the outfielder climbing the wall while trying to make the catch. There is a lot of Basketball games as well, what is your next project?

bo jackson baseball is terrible. i recorded two entire cpu vs cpu games without a single home run. the computer would constantly try to steal, get caught in a pickle, then retreat back to first without a throw. i had to play a 2 player game with me using both controllers and chucking meat at the plate to finally get the anti-climatic home run.

next project?

genesis baseball
snes baseball
classic console baseball

im not sure what sport (or different genre) to do next... a touchdown montage? hockey goals? slam dunks? golf?

i want to put these together to show that sports games were more fun when they werent so realistic.

Definitely do Genesis baseball next. It'll probably span 2 videos though, there were a lot of baseball games for that system.

believe it or not, the number is about the same. there are handful of series with a ton of sequels

What were the worst 3 baseball games? Bo Jackson and ? & ?

As far as your next video....how about your top 10 or 20 baseball games from the classic era? You could have some of the NES games(RBI & Baseball Stars, etc), plus intellivision baseball, World Series on Genesis, Ken Griffey on SNES, etc.

genesis is next, i need four more carts for the complete set
snes is after that, i need six more carts there
then a classic console roundup, atari/intellivision/coleco/oddysey/master system/tg16/segacd/32x. though that list will not be definitive

once the baseball project is finished, i dont know what i will do next

with straight up grading, nintendo baseball is bad, but on a curve it is comparable to other early 80s baseball games, so i ultimately give it a pass

on the other side, bases loaded 3/4 should have been awesome. but they just played like garbage compared to the graphically inferior first bases loaded.

i will admit, i didnt play all of these game. i never played quattro sports before, and i simply had the cpu play itself for the video. but from the looks of it, it looks only half finished. there was no sound effect for the crack of the bat for instance. and the size of the stadium is really strange. that home run was extremely short. but i liked the direct overhead perspective. it reminded me of reggie jackson and tommy lasorda baseball on sega systems... games that i really like.

so to answer your question, the worst three

bo jackson baseball
bases loaded 3 & 4
baseball pros

and my favorites

bases loaded
rbi baseball
baseball stars

im willing to bet that is a consensus top three

Seriously awesome vid. So many great NES baseball games. Even the bad ones have fun quirks. I love how you used the Quattro Four-Sport game where foul balls sometimes count as homers. (however, could you have picked a more boring home run for the usually exciting Baseball Simulator 1.000?)

I actually never cared for the Bases Loaded series. The games seemed to take too long and fielding was awkward. My top 3 are RBI, Baseball Stars, and Dusty Diamond.

Great vid! I really like the Baseball Stars series. The Base Wars game looks pretty interesting. I'm gonna check that one out!

Was that actually a foul ball? The ball itself looked to be inside though the shadow looked foul. I remember playing that game and won by a score of thirty-something to two(I think), it's ridiculous.

My favorite parts of the Baseball Pros game:

1. Games were 10 innings long. As if the people that programmed the game had never actually watched baseball

2. Nolan Ryan with a moustache on the cover.

Great video. I almost would like to see a video that added in all the Famicom baseball games we never got here, but considering that there are probably 6000...might be a bit much to ask.

was this game programmed by a british company? if so, i think its pretty cool they got as much right as they did. imagine what an nes cricket game programmed by americans would look like

i thought about some famicom baseball games, but the only two i have are family stadium ( rbi baseball) and moero pro yakyu (bases loaded). not enough difference to warrant the extra entries, though i do like the more authentic crowd noise the the japanese pronunciation of "home run" in moero pro yakyu.
