Seeing as the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) starts tomorrow, I figured I'd start a topic tonight for discussion.
So, what's everyone expecting to be shown or revealed this year?

I am more interested in vendor attendance and show size. Last year was better but still a far cry from what it used to be. I miss Kentia Hall!

I just want a release date for Gran Turismo 5.
It's never coming out.
I want to see Arkham Asylum 2, but I found out it's not being shown this year at E3 unless they want it to be unexpected.
I didn't think about Parasite Eve the Third Birthday. I want to see gameplay of that.

Reminded about Driver from videogameking. A series that in my opinion has always had better controls and mechanics than the best GTA at the time, atleast until GTA4 came out which is the second best in the genre, right behind Scarface the World is Yours.
I think Driver is a remake though, as the promotional video of it is like the garage scene on the original Driver and shows a fast forward of 1999, which is when the original Driver was released, to 2010. The amount of time they've been supposedly working on this game it better be good. I've only been disappointed by one Driver game and that was Driver 2(I even liked the third.)

That is the number one thing I am looking forward to right now... aside from a possible slim 360.

Looking forward to RB3 news, hopefully they'll announce a new Pinball Hall of Fame collection, and any JRPGs by small publishers.

I want to hear more on Beyond Good & Evil 2, which was just announced last year. Also, hearing any hint about Timesplitters 4's development status would be better than nothing. Those are really my main things :P

It seems like Microsoft is pulling a Sega now:
Master System= Xbox (Number 2 spot)
Mega Drive= Xbox 360 (big hit)
Mega CD= Kinect (Add-on #1)
Pretty funny, really. LOL

I hate Sega analogies, but if this means we can expect to play Master Chief as some sort of Werehog 10 to 15 years from now then I'm all for it.

Lots of good stuff, but no surprises.
The new model 360 being available this week is cool...
Most of the games are sequels and are slight upgrades over their predecessors, but nothing to complain about, probably great games.
Kinect was underwhelming, but give it time, I guess. The games and apps looked like Wii rehashes - acccept Star Wars which looked a little adolescent, though not hopeless.
EA's conference did little for me. Have to see what UbiSoft has coming still...alot to watch.

Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam. Oh, hell yeah. I'm guessing this will be something similar to Battlefield: 1943...a PSN/XBLA download with 3-4 maps. A retail release would make it even better.

It's an expansion pack for Battlefield: Bad Company 2. It's not a XBLA game like the Battlefield 1942 remake was and isn't a remake of Battlefield Vietnam from a few years back.
I presume it will either just be a downloadable expansion for owners of the base game like Shivering Isles was for Oblivion. Or maybe they will go a more ambitious route like Rockstar did with the GTAIV expansions and make it a standalone game that's sold online and at retail that doesn't require the original game.

I'm really disappointed that THQ is holding of revealing Saints Row 3 until december. Apparently it's to upgrade the tech or something, but they also want to make a movie and card games and comics and shit. I want a new saints row!

Speaking of E3 and THQ: I thought it was funny when at Nintendo's Presser, THQ was listed as a major third party soft supporter of the 3DS and a decent portion of the audience laughed derisively in response. Funnier still was being able to hear crickets in response to the same for EA... Capcom and Konami mentions sure got some audience love though! :D

Nintendo shows bring out the huge manchild in people. people fucking cry in joy when zelda games are announced. Of course they'll laugh when a shameful gaijin publisher is a major third party on a glorious nippon games machine.

I don't think that it was geographically motivated. Remember when the THQ logo was the gaming equivalent of a Mr. Yuk sticker? Damn things had the Nintendo Seal of Quality too... But that's two dead horses, each a different color.

THQ has taken Acclaim's place in the third-party gaming universe: they'll put out something decent every now and then, but most of their offerings are licensed garbage.

It's interesting- back in the age of simple 2D games, Acclaim was mostly garbage. But then on the N64, Acclaim was really pushing the boundaries of 3D (awesome lighting and particle effects, real-time shadows, high-res mode, etc.).

Anyone seen the Yoo Star 2 stuff? Let's you do "movie Karoake," which I think is pretty cool. I heard about it watching Leonard Nimoy acting as Arnold in Terminator 2.

I was a bit disappointed with this years showing.
Nothing that really took my breath away, except for the new Rayman, and the 360-S (as I'm now dubbing it.).
This year seemed like they concentrated on hardware, than games. Very little talk of games, and the ones that i did hear about - about 80% didn't really seem to do much for me.
I will admit one thing, though... I'm still figting off the urge to buy another Wii, only to play Metroid: The Other M.
