I was bidding on a couple of slipcovers on eBay.. I'm moving, and I was thinking they'd be nice in the livingroom, to make the couches look like they match, and protect them from the ravages of two dogs. So, I'd been high bidder for the past day or so, and when I checked on them last yesterday, I was still high bidder, and they both had slightly over a day left on them.
I log in this morning, go to my eBay Items I'm Bidding On page, and they're gone. Not there. No trace of them. I did an item search, and they don't come up. The auctions are completely gone.
And I know it's not a matter of the seller getting pulled.. they still have another 50+ auctions up and running.
What HAPPENED???

You know, I don't know what the heck is happening with ebay lately. I just had the exact same thing happen to my auctions. I posted about 35 auctions a few weeks ago, and some of them disappeared but later reappeared a day before the auction was over. I had several of my buyers email me asking for similar items to what they just bought. The exact same items they wanted I had listed, but disappeared (understand?). They said they never came up in my "view seller's other items" option.
I've also noticed that if I try to sell more than 20 items at once, things just go crazy and end up in some sort of ebay phantom zone, sometimes never to be seen again....until ebay charges me listing fees. I've emailed ebay a few times about this, but I never get a response. Ebay is really starting to tick me off lately and it's becoming more trouble selling things than it's worth. I may have to go back to selling stuff at yard sales and fleas.
I've also had photos disappear and reappear as well. No idea what to tell you other than you're not alone. You think ebay is growing so fast it basically can't keep up with itself?

I've had photo's disappear . Sometimes 50 or more at once. But it's hard to blame E-Bay. With millions of auctions a day , I'm suprised there isn't mass chaos.
