Hello, first post on these forums. I've been trying to find someone who can help me identify an NES game that I barely remember playing when I was a kid, and I think this forum might be the best place.

I remember it was a side-scrolling shooter where you controlled a submarine. The goal was to protect some kind of island that floated on the surface of the water above you (I think) as you went through the level. There were different torpedo upgrades you could get, I vaguely remember one of the torpedoes being called the "Bull" torpedo or something (from the instruction manual.)

No amount of google searching has been able to help me find this game. If I can find it, it will be super super nostalgic. Thanks for your help.

This is Sqoon! I asked about this one about a year ago since I couldn't remember the title either. Fun game, kinda uncommon, but cheap on ebay.

edit: btw, Matt, is that you? My friend Matt rented this game when we were kids. We were so engrossed in it that we didn't go to dinner after being called many times. His dad got pissed and ended up ripping the NES out (breaking the rf wire) and put it up in a closet. Ah, nostalgia.

No, I am not Matt, and I live in GA. :) But glad to see that other people remember this fun game!

I played Sqoon, too. Very tough NES game from IREM. However, I felt it was nothing special and that's why it is largely forgotten.
