Configuring GameCube to Widescreen?

Hey all, I've had my 57" Widescreen tv for a couple months and I absolutely have to play Metroid Prime on widescreen...it's killing me.

As of now, I've got my GC hooked up to the VCR through the packed in Red, White, and Yellow A/V cables. So...What cables do I need to buy, and how do I configure my GC to widescreen for all games?

Widescreen is only supported in some games. So there's no magical do-it-all for all your games...

Does Metroid Prime support it? If so, I couldnt get it to without the screen being stretched.

It does, but you need the Component Video cable I believe for it to be activated.
