Hey, just wondering if anyone knows the folks that run pcenginefx.com? I have tried for well over a month to get approved on the forum and sent multiple follow-up emails, but I am being completely ignored.

Thanks in advance.

they are pretty bad about approving people, but they usually get around to it..

I've been waiting for the past week-and-a-half on that, myself. I'm sure that they're just doing background checks and going through your financial history. You know how these exclusive clubs work! :p

Well, I'll just try to be patient then I guess. I really wanted to do some trading.

Yeah, I signed up like 2 months ago or so...I'm pretty sure I hadn't been approved yet.

I signed up once. After waiting a few weeks to gain approval, I gave up and signed up again with a different username. It was approved in a few days. A few weeks later, the first account was finally approved.

There is no reason why they did it like that that I can think of, other than they are a bit disorganized.

I heard that was the site of Nintega's origin on the web.

Years later, he's still the same as when he got banned there.

Just whatever you do, don't sign up and start buying/selling stuff right away. Chat with the peeps in the chat room for a while. Get to know people. Most people there don't trust the new guys so they have to build your trust with you.

Cheap trades are always a good start.

Going on there looking for Magical Chase is not.

its not disorganized, its just the site admin isn't on too often, and hes the one that approves users.

As a proud member of the elite social circle that is PCenginefx.com, I hope they keep the requirements high. Currently you need to be as good in bed as Bonk to be approved. Best of luck to you!

aka. disorganization (not in appearance, but in keeping up with things) due to the admin being too busy to check applications. Just a fact (well, looks like it to me anyway!). I like the site, to be honest. :)

What is PCEngineFX about anyway? Sitting on my secret stash of broken GTs and PC-FX GAs I have no need for trading sites! (Well, in all honesty my other trading sites already eat up 110% of my available disposable.)

The only thing I don't like about their forum is that whenever they ban members, apparently they migrate over here and act like dipshits.

Can't blame a forum for holding it's members to slightly higher standards. :D

Bumping this for a similar issue. I have tried signing up 3 times: July of 2010, January of 2011, and now, this month, on the 24th.

I have never been approved for any of these attempts.

pcenginefx guys: Lemme in, please! I'm a nice guy, I promise!

EDIT: Some anonymous person spread the word overnight and I'm in. Thank you, masked stranger!

I don't know if my account is still viable on there. I remember setting myself up on that site years ago but the e-mail address I used is no longer valid so I don't have a way to recover even if I wanted to. :|

Pcenginefx.com are comprised of elitist scum that has alianated the entire PC Engine community. There are many resident trolls there that attack any newcomers. To become a newcomer you have to be approved by the board, and even if you are allowed in, the resident trolls will tear you up. You are not allowed to sell or trade there unless you are approved and blessed in by their mages and clerics. Pcenginefx is exactly what gaming forums should be not. Its dying nowadays anyways, but thought i should speak up about that scummy place.

Mostly false, but you're right that it is dying. So is this place.

I haven't posted over there in a while, but it's a nice forum from my experience. The regulars can be a little sharp-tongued, but I'd say they're overall friendly, decent people. I recall even winning a couple raffles the users would often put on, and then hosted one myself.

Which is a shame, i usually just lurk but i took a absence from this site for a about a year and noticed a huge drop in posts. I think the classic scene is drying up plus everything being so easy to emulate now has taken its toll.
