Hello, everyone. Again.

Perhaps I should have put all of my questions into one topic...if only I'd thought of it..
So I apologize for all of these topics...
My latest question...
Will the AV cables from an Atari Flashback 2 work on a regular Atari 2600?

As always, thank you in advance!

The answer is NO.
The Flashback uses RCA cables. The 2600 can't use those. It(2600) comes with a single cable coming out the back of the system which hooks up to a switchbox via the CO-AX cable connection.

I am guessing you are very young... :)

They aren't even detachable. The Flashback 2's composite video and mono audio cable is hard wired.

You must be pretty young too since until recent years, TV/Game switchboxes just had the screw type connectors and it was hooked up to the VHF antenna terminals on the television. It wasn't until the 1990s that I started to see TV/Game switchboxes that included a coaxial out in addition to the standard VHF screw type connector. If you wanted it hooked up to a coaxial connection prior to then, you needed an additional adapter that converted the VHF screw type connection to a coaxial one.

The way to go with hooking it up isn't a TV/Game switchbox. They're cheaply built, interferance prone, and fail all too quickly. You'd want to use a F type connector to directly connect the video/audio out cable exiting the 2600 to your television's coaxial cable connection. Not only will it provide a superior picture and be much more reliable, it's also cheaper then buying a new TV/Game switchbox from somewhere like your local Radio Shack,

Of course, the best way to go is to modify your console to output composite and/or s-video.

Is there some kind of adaptor I could get to connect the RF cable to the TV's AV ports?

You'd need a RF modulator but in reverse.

It is possible to mod a 2600 for composite video output, but you either need money (tons of people on here would do it for money, I'm sure) or some soldering skills and one of many guides/kits found on the internet.

Vcrs are magic, science cannot explain their mystic powers

This is why DVD players are cold, heartless machines with no pass-through video powers.

Your point? You still can hook up either type of a switch-box to a CO-AX. A lot of the older switch-boxes even came with the little adapter.
