Patapon 2 on UMD - Interesting Find?

I went in to Game:ass:stop today and saw that they had a copy of Patapon 2 Used and it did not say downloadable on the top. I went up to the counter and asked the guy, is this actually on UMD? I thought it was not released that way in the States. Sure enough, he plops down the UMD and now I have it complete! Ok, did I miss something or is this actually an odd rare find?

It may be the UK/EU version.

Not a rare find. I saw someone mention this in the current generation rare thread(can't remember the name.) This is along with Sony's new $9.99 PSP line up.

Hmm, looked more in to the new $9.99 titles and I do think you are right. Oh, well, I still got it for $8 used. Good game at that price.

Well I bought the DLC one, but never activated it because I only had the 32MB card that came with my 1000. Not enough space for the game. Glad I didn't worry about a bigger memory card!

After keeping my eyes open, finally found one of these today at one of my Gamestop locations. I don't think these are "rare" but they certainly aren't common either.

This and PixelJunk Monsters Deluxe is at Walmart for $9.99 each so I don't think they "aren't common"

I'm wondering when the rest of the new $10 PSP game line will hit stores. So far, Buzz and Patapon 2 are the only ones I've seen and nobody seems to be taking pre-orders on the other releases just yet. Oddly, it looks like 2K/Take2 has jumped aboard the $10 re-release bandwagon with Pirates and several other games re-releasing next week.

I visited a few Gamestops this weekend for their B2G1 sale and almost all locations had stacks of these $9 Patapon 2 games.

I'm so glad I resisted the urge to import this game. :cool:

I'd think that if there was a cover change, it would be to the new PSP stripe which means.... Variants! Cheaper cases? How could those cases get any cheaper? They already break hinges far too easily.

In Mexico all the Patapon 2s are the UMD version and the game has a lower price now, 199 pesos.
