Ok guys, I have a ps2 controller where I need to push the left directional button extra hard for it to work. I tried putting a piece of paper in it and I had to push even harder. So I took the front off and used it with just the pads to see what the problem is. Inside there is the little rectangle for each of the directional button for where there needs to be contact. When I move the pad up and slightly out of place the left button worked fine. So what it looks like to me it that for some reason only a small portion (the very top portion) of the little rectangle is working. Any ideas? I don't see anything wrong with it and tried cleaning it too.

That's weird that the contacts on the rubber pieces are rectangles. Usually they are black circles or it is just rubber. I would recommend you buying the replacement D-Pad Rubber Piece and Rubber Piece for the buttons. Just look up, Squeept, on eBay. He seems to sell parts for Game Consoles and Controllers, especially the rubber pieces for the Playstation 2 Dual Shock 2 Controller that you most-likely need. Furthermore, I think that is why it only works when it is slightly out of place; since the black contacts are supposed to be circles and not rectangles. Good luck, thank you, and have a nice day.

P.S. Anybody that is reading this, please correct me if I'm wrong.
