I found some old VHS tapes of news specials from ABC news that we recorded back in the 80's. The first one is called "Video Fever" and it aired on ABC channel 7 Los Angeles in 1982. It focuses mostly on the arcade indusry and the people that play them. There are even shots of Trons and Galagas being assembled at Bally and shots of the assembly line at Taito. Jack Mittle of Taito looks like a total sleeze bucket lol

The next video I posted is called "Nuts for Nintendo" recorded in 1988 from ABC news 20/20 about the big hype surrounding Super Mario Bros 2 and the Legend of Zelda 2.

I still have piles of tapes to go through and I know I have a lot more stuff we recorded back in the day. It will take a lot time to go through and will upload them as they become available. Enjoy!!

Hey I was the first viewer on Youtube, I don't think that ever happens. It's fun to watch new material come up that has not been shown before on Youtube. Interesting, thanks!

Wow man you have some awesome stuff lying around...I'm from Canada so I've never heard of those shows...on a side note in the first video...that news reported at the beginning looks REALLY good for the 80's era...wow she was hot...

I really want to see the rest of the videos!

Any chance of downloading the video on a higher resolution that is not Youtube? Youtube videos are of lesser quality and I (as I am sure many here) would love to have the "original" rip from VHS.

But in any case, awesome! I can't wait to see the other parts! :)

Does anyone here hold their NES controller so that the A/B buttons are pressed with your index and middle fingers?

p.s. these videos are great!

Thanks for uploading these, they're great! I look forward to seeing more of these.

Has anyone played "Toasters and Chainsaws"?

No, I don't and never have. I think that kid has been playing a lot of arcade games before the NES.

Great videos. I've got some stuff like that on ancient videotapes too...if only I knew where they were.

BTW, Tawny Little was Miss America in 1976.

Very great quality on those videos, looks like they have remained untouched/unplayed for a long time.
