Hope I am the first to do this:

Once you trim the FC controller's board, it fits inside the NES controller with the original board. Makes wiring easy. Just toss the chip and solder to the traces coming from the FC board. One thing of note, there are two separate common leads, one between the D-pad buttons and the other handling A, B, Sel, Start. Power is still... in progress. Right now its a button battery soldered on the back of the controller. Will look for something rechargeable soon.
Enjoy :D
EDIT: Yeah, the cam kinda sucks. Still works.

Nice job, looks like its working great.
Now if someone could only figure out how to do the same with the messiah 2.4 ghz controllers on a real NES..

Man, that controller looks nice.
Even better than a video I saw once where someone turned a NES controller into one for their iPod.
Also, I've had thoughts before of using a broken Game Boy's shell as a NES controller, complete with a paint scheme to match the NES. Too bad I've never come upon a broken Game Boy to try this out.

Thanks :D
Couple pics (beats the grainy vid)

That's where the LEDs stick out. I'll probably use the cord hole for a charging port. Found 3V rechargable coin batteries that will do the trick.

Nice job!
It's a shame that the IR controls are so wonky on the FC Mobile II.
If only they had used an RF Wireless connection ... I would've paid an extra $10 or so.

Woot! Found the part of the circuit that sets the controller number. Add a switch and I can swap it between the two.

Alright, here we go again... putting this thing under the iron.

There you can see where the external audio mod is done. Just runs from the pin to the audio before the volume potentiometer. It does pipe it to an external television, but very quietly. Not sure how to fix that one :( The connectors to the left is for me to easily disconnect the battery port (makes splitting the thing open much easier). The one on the right...

The little tin speakers in this thing suck. These will do much better. They came out of an old flatpanel monitor that died. Clear sound for their size.

That's where they'll go. Not the best spot, but they're a tad bigger than the ones that were in there. I'll take 'em into my shop and drill the holes for mounting and letting the sound through. Ought to be a neat mod once its done.

Installed.

Looking sharp. Sounds crystal clear. The sound isn't muffled when you're holding it, either (something I was worried about). All in all a heck of a lot better than the tiny speaks that were in there :)
