Crusader of Centy? also a neat story inside for FL people

Has anyone ever given this game a try? Im really liking it, its almost just like SNES Zelda.

I picked it up today CIB at a play n trade along with phantasy Star II & IV along with shining Force.

supposedly its pretty uncommon, its an Atlus RPG.

This play n trade near where i live has hundreds of sega cd, saturn, snes, and Genesis titles that are CIB and/or sealed.

They told me some guy came in with 2,000 titles and traded all of this old stuff for a wii, 360 and a ps3 and a ton of games. I believe it, because this store is incredible, alot of the stuff is still sealed, and the open stuff is CIB mint. Even the sega CD game cases dont have even a scratch on them, its insane!

sorry to go off on a rant, I just got really excited, never been in there before and spent a little over a grand lol... didnt even know there was a resident evil for the saturn. *_*

Resident Evil is worth a pretty penny for Saturn. Are the prices somewhat competitive or are they jacked up?

im in sarasota, the pnt is the one in bradenton just off the interstate on SR70, they have another mint copy of resident evil there still too, it was $19.99 complete mint!

they have/had 2 of everything, 1 opened, 1 sealed, but alot of the sealed copies they opened up to take the game out to display the box after they sold the opened one. It sounds like the seller was a collector. It sucks for the sealed collectors, but they still have alot of sealed copies of games, because they havent sold the open one yet.

im talking alot of weird titles, willy beamish, time gal, road avenger, tons of amazingly mint longbox 3do titles like drug wars, some neo geo games like samurai shodown and stuff. they even have one of those Neo Geo arcade cabinets for sale with the 100 game cart for like $500.00

If you plan on going, let me know. I am definitely interested in the Sega stuff, but I don't have time to travel over there right now.

Damn sounds like a gold mine. And that guy is an idiot for trading in all those classics for the new stuff.

Crusader of Centy is an excellent game... I remember that one when it came out. I've been keeping an eye out for it and Ebay NEVER has a complete copy for sale. And for the loosies they want like 40 bucks for them. It's probably one of the more expensive Genesis games behind MUSHA. May very well be the second most expensive Genesis game.

Sounds like someone got robbed and the crook took the stuff to a local game used/trader business to get teh new gamez and systemz.

Two friends of mine got robbed of all their retro collectible stuff in the past. And I can tell you, the crooks weren't retro gamers. They traded it in and sold what they could as fast as they could.

I also got my copy of Crusader of Centy at a Playntrade. Its pretty fun and for a Genesis game quite colorfull. Its over to soon and there are lots of translation errors. Other than that its my favorite action-rpg on the system, not that there are many.

I was in that PNT in Bradenton when I visited a few months back. Nothing exciting back then, though. Just bought Evil Dead on UMD for $3
I'd love that Willy Beamish if it were reasonable though. Too bad my parents aren't there now...I'd send em to check it out for me

id call ahead before making the trip just to make sure they have what you want. I counted over 40 sega cd mint games on the shelf, over 80 boxed complete genesis games. I saw Chrono trigger, dragon warrior IV, Starcraft 64.

Like I said, if you collect 3DO, that place is a must, they dont have a 3dO system, but lots of games for it.

they had a boxed game-boy add-on with a magnifier and big speakers on it for 9 bucks.

Also saw Lords of Thunder for Sega CD.

2 Batman & Robin, 1 sealed. Spider-man vs. kingpin looked cool.

They had lethal enforcers II with the gun for sega cd.

resident evil for saturn. there were a few other saturn games too, not too many tho, no working designs rpgs or anything cool like that.

I bought Time Gal, Road Avenger, Will Beamish, Cobra Command and Batman Returns for Sega CD, they were all complete in the carboard boxes with manuals, thought that was pretty cool.

if u like 3DO, I saw drug wars, need for speed, jurassic park and about 20 other mint in box 3DO titles.

I bought like 15 sega cd titles 2 weeks ago from them, and when I went back, the shelf was full again, so I know they have alot of stuff in the back.

I went to a Play N Trade in Sarasota during Spring Break. Picked up Kolibri CIB for $8, as well as Mr. Do! for the Game Boy for $3.

I LOVE Crusader of Centy - it's definitely among my favorite top-down action RPGs. The fact that you can combine animal powers to achieve unique effects adds a really interesting layer of gameplay depth. And like pepharytheworm, I wish it were longer.

Good job grabbing the cardboard releases. I need almost all of the cardboard releases, and I'll be ~20 games short of a complete Sega CD collection after that.

The rest of the Sega CD games you mentioned I've picked up recently, but I wouldn't mind the rest of the Saturn or 3DO stuff. I've got a second 3DO if you're interested Fx.

As an example of prices here, I picked up Kolibri CIB for $40. I would've almost died seeing Kolibri for $8.

it was $69.99, but I traded for it. The games I traded in were 360, ps3 and wii titles that I didnt like such as Haze, Ninja Gaiden II, Brothers in Arms and a few others.

Whats cool is the guy gave me the buy 3 get 2 free deal on a weekday, so i walked out with Crusader of Centy, Shining Force, Phantasy Star II, Altered beast and Ghouls and Ghosts all cib mint w/manuals.

Here is a pic of the sega CD and Saturn titles that I acquired with cash from the Bradenton store over the last 2 weeks. Lunar, Lunar 2 and Vay are mixed in there somewhere!

Sorry guys, I regret to inform you that I went to this store last weekend, and it is now out of business. The last game I bought was Pulseman CIB for 6 bucks.

A sad day for me, I was going to buy about 30 cib nes games from the place that I saw the week before, but the store was closed down and cleaned out.

There was so much stuff I still wanted to buy too =/ I checked with the PNT in sarasota, but they said the guy didnt bring in anything from his store
