Hey guys. I've been a long time lurker here, checking daily, but just haven't really posted much. So I thought I would kind of introduce myself by showing all my room of doom. I have been in awe at you guy's rooms. My collection cannot compete with most of you, but I am having fun doing it. I have been collecting for about 2 years now (lost a lot of my childhood collection through various ways).

Small video tour (including things from under the futon not pictured):

Wall of games (A little tough to get some games, but I haven't found a good shelving unit yet that fits properly in that room)

The nook.

Most of my handhelds.

Everything is hooked up, but I do have to switch AC adapters sometimes. I unplug all when not using. I have around 850 games, and a little over 40 systems (not all pictured. Some are in my upstairs, and all my current gens and games are in the living room on my HD setup.)

Tell me what you guys think (but be kind on the messiness. I like the clean and neat game rooms too, but don't have the room to make them look real good.) Also, I look forward to joining in on the game discussions from now on.

Great stuff! Like you said, you really need a shelf or two. It would look much more organized and I think you will love it when you've placed the final game on the shelf.

Is that Earthbound I see in your SNES?

Nice collection, just organize it a little more! Get some shelves in that room!

Indeed. I'm as OCD as it gets when it comes to my game shelves.

I like it, especially how the collection spans across many generations of consoles.

Nico: Yes that is Earthbound. I have a full list of my game collection if you want to check out the games that you can't see.

Orion: Yea I try to collect most of what came out after I was born (83') and some of the older ones I missed. I am trying to get atleast the top 25 games for each system. That is my goal. The only console that I don't have that I really want is a Neo Geo, but don't have the cash to be collecting for that yet.

Also A couple more pics of some things:

Nice. You have some quality Genesis titles it appears. And good call on the R-Type in the Turbografx-16.

I like it. Reminds me of my old game (bed)room back when I used to live at home. Games stacked high, consoles on top of each other.

One thing, you might not want to keep the boxed N64 games like that. The ones on the bottom will start to warp due to the weight of the stack. This is what happened to me when my stack got too large. :(

None of the games are actually in the box (Though I do have all of the games). And it is funny you said about the bedroom. I lived with my wife's family for a while before we got married, and I hadn't had my own bedroom in almost 6 years. So I designed it kind of like my old room (though my old room was much bigger).

What is the pong console on your left speaker? That looks like a really nice, clean design compared to some of the others.

Babe Ruth does not approve of that Virtual Boy.

Deadeicated GameCube for the Gameboy Advance Player? That's the way to do it.

Haven't touched a GBA since I got my GBA Player.

Good collection.

I settled for a Neo Geo MVS unit when the time came. Games are much cheaper, thoguh I wonder how many of them are pirated copies...

I will have an AES one day...

I chuckled at the "Room for doom" myself.

Neat room, I like.

Zapf - It is a Magnavox Odyssey 3000. It has 3 games (smash, hockey, tennis) plus a practice mode. Also has detachable controllers. Pretty good little Pong machine.

Trebuken - Yea I want an AES. I keep almost buying them, but then back off at the last minute. Just can't take that step to dedicate a large sum of money required to collect for it right now.

I like the feel of your room. The feel looks more for a gamer than a collector. Thats not a bad thing. It is organized chaos.
