Wow; Strider 2 PSX - very cool

Lately I've been looking for unique PSX games I may have missed the first time around (mostly 2Ds and classic remakes). Picked up Strider 2 today and I was very impressed. Though it seems like it may be a little too easy, it's a very nice looking game. Really shows how good a 2D game can look on a PSX. Also picked up Galaga (nice) and Striker 1945.

Anyone have any other PSX 2D recommendations?

Yeah, welcome aboard the Strider 2 bandwagon! Part of the reason it looks so good on the PSX is that's the arcade hardware it was running on.

I know someone else will mention it, but another good looking 2d PSX game is Castlevaina Symphony of the Night. Personally, I wasn't that impressed with the game play, but it's a looker and one of the few instances where the PSX version trumps the Saturn in 2D.
