Software etc. in Rivertown Crossings mall (Grandville - near Grand Rapids) has at least one brand new copy of Rez for sale. It's the PS2 version. The price was either $40 or $30, but I can't remember which for the life of me. If you've been looking for the game, check with them.

Video Game Castle in Chicopee MA still had a new copy or two for PS2 for $30 a few months back. I haven't been there in a while, so I don't know if any copies are left.

Thanks for the tip! I'm going there today to pick it up.

Well, I've called every single game store in the area...and only one has this game, new, for 40 bucks. The price is fine by me, due to its availability, or lack thereof. I'm about to head out to pick it up.

Where are you guys going to get your Trance Vibrators?

I wish I knew. Heh. Do the imported ones still work with the US version of the game? That would be an amusing novelty to pick up someday.

Yep. I can confirm that the JP Trance Vibrator accessory (never released in the U.S.) works just fine with the U.S. version of Rez. :-D

Good. I figured it would be kind of dumb for them to remove such a small portion of the game anyway. Has anybody opened up one of those trance vibrator things to see if they're simple enough to build from scratch?

Even if I opened mine up, I doubt I'd be able to to figure out what the doohickey is going to the thingamadooger. But I'll bet somebody in the forums could reverse engineer it if they had one to, er, play with. The question is, who?
As for getting a TV into our as-yet unnamed electronics whiz's hands, well, portnoyd and I got ours from PriestJPN in response to this thread:

I don't know if he can track any more down, as it seemed to be something of a "find" at the time. If we really wanted to get this done, maybe we members could chip in and shell out for a Rez LE on ebay and send it to the electronics genius to figure out.

I don't know where I'm gonna get the Vibrator...see my friend wants to go in on Special edition cuz he wants the game and I want the accessory. I'm thinkin of calling this import game store a little ways from here to see if they have it (cuz they've had some odd things there before).
I'm kinda annoyed though-they had the game new in perfect condition, but no box. Claimed they had already sold the box seperate to someone >:(
So on that note, if anyone has a spare box and book for rez, I'll be happy ;p

I posted on this is the rythym-game forum, but I'll put it here too. I just came back from another trip to Japan this month, and searched Kansai far and wide for either the Rez LE package or the ASCII Trance Vibrator seperate... And was told by virtually every video-game collector/store owner I could find that they are once again "impossible" to find and/or order in the wild of Japan. That's not to say there aren't some in all of Japan, as I searched throughout Osaka/Kobe, but it seems like Ebay is pretty much it for the time being.

Pfftt! I think I was the first one to confirm this though. ;)

I must affirm that Miss Achika did confirm first-hand the proper functioning of the Trance Vibrator with her domestic equipment, although how thoroughly she did so I cannot say. ;) ;)

You have absolutely no idea how hard I'm trying not to make certain statements. He he. Okay, you probably have a good idea.

Indeed, that which goes without saying best goes unsaid.

If you look at Markinjapan.com, he still has them listed in his PS2 section, albeit without price. If you want one, maybe you should drop him a note--he may have more.
