I'm refurbing a 7800 atm, and the springs wrapped around the power/select/pause/reset buttons on the console have pretty much disintegrated. Obviously, I need to get some new ones! Is there a good place to find very small springs, preferably a local store or chain so I can compare with the remains of my current ones (I don't really know what kind were in it or how you measure a spring tbh)?

Have you called Best Electronics? That's the easiest place to start.

I actually went out this afternoon while the forums were still down, and bought a couple of sets of ball point pens. I found a style that had a spring which fit wonderfully on the buttons - Bic Atlantis Ball Pens. They are slightly longer, but that doesnt really matter, it still fit fine, and has good resistance (better than being permanently lodged down or up like the last set lol)
