Hi!

After cleaning all the games on the second box I got a little bit happier. Most of the games were official and just a few were "pirates"

But there were some strange games inside.
Let me show you:

Omega Brazil '97: I have never heard about this game before. And I have no explanations to it.

International Superstar Soccer: I really don't know why this game is not in the US library. It's for sure official, it has instructions and everything.

HERE the code of it

Action 5 in 1: the games inside Off Road, Ranma 1 and 1/2, Universal Soldier (not universe soldier like the other compilation cartridge), Radical Rex and Blues Brothers.

Ronaldinho's Soccer 97: Everybody knows who Ronaldinho is. The best soccer player up to 1998. This game is the 4th edition of the brazilian championship of soccer.

Ayrton Senna F1: A game dedicated to Ayrton Senna, the biggest f1 racer of Brazil. This game is not in the US library.

2 in 1: Asterix and Super Mario World, again Asterix is featured in a compilation cartridge.

Super SW IV: is this game in the us library but not in digitpress list ?

Once again it was very painful work to remove the stickers of this games.
I've found the name of the product that is the same as goo gone here in Brazil so this games will be a lot cleaner. Monday I'll buy Alcohol iso-propilic and Goo gone to clean my games.

If you have further informations for this games, please, let me know.

The game's called Super Swiv but appears it was released in the US under the title "Firepower 2000": http://www.digitpress.com/DP/cmf/game.cmf?gameid=14041

Wasn't ISS a Brazil-only game?

The rest are all pirate games.

The game below Nagano Winter Olympics '98 is Sengoku for the Super Famicom. Sengoku is a side scrolling beat-em up that was ported from the Neo Geo. The USA SNES version was never released.

edit: taking a closer look at the picture, it's missing the security screws, and has notches for USA systems...not signs of an official cart.

So, If the game works in my ntsc brazilian super nintendo it should be "pirate" too?

All official Japanese Super Famicom games are NTSC, and will only work on NTSC consoles.

I like how Omega Brazil's label nearly wraps around the whole front of the cartridge!

Yes, they are terrible made :P
But I guess some of them are hard to find, because I can't find omega brazil anywhere else.

Maybe I misunderstood but Magic Boy is definitely a US-released SNES game. That's obviously a pirate of it, but it was certainly released in the US. I used to own it. What's more interesting to me is The Shadow. That game was canceled for a US release (and never released in any other country either), but is playable as a ROM. I'm wondering if it's a pirate of that game, or just a mislabel of some other game.

mobiusclimber, I'll put the shadow to work and take some pictures.

And about magic boy, I think I've missed it on the list of digit press.
I've just wake up and I'm going to the stores to find goo gone and iso propilic alcohol.
I'll post more later :))

LOL
I think the opposite, how I would like those games were officials.

Some of them I have 2 copy. When my 10 days here arrive I'll trade them.
Maybe this way I could reach a complete SNES collection ;D

And about The Shadow game: I've marked all the games on box 3, 4 and 5. I'll take pictures tonight of those new "pirate" games and the shadow game play.

Hi there!

I am currently working on a Beat 'em Up database (sidescrolling beat 'em up, that is!) that tries to list information on any beat 'em up ever made.

This game - The Shadow - was never released in the US so this bootleg version is quite interesting for me. Did you test the game? Is it the complete version and almost more interesting: Could you make a cover scan (front and back) of the box as well as the cartridge itself?

That would be so helpful and much appreciated! http://ceno.krankikom.de/goth/goth_lieb.gif

Kind regards,
ceno

is star wars: Shadow of the empire just a re-packaging/re-titled version of one of the official SNES Star Wars games? is it a new game altogether?

PM Sent to you! :)

Indeed it was, and it was published by Sunsoft, not Storm/Sales Curve.
