Why do the instuctions show a 6 button controller? I dont think the game supports the extra 3 buttons, I can't read the instructions because they are in Japanese obviously, I just want to know, does Rockman Mega World have support for 6 button capability or are all Mega Drive instruction manuals weird and show the 6 button controller?

I'd like to see a scan of this from the manual, if you can post it. I can read some Japanese.
I have two of the six-button controllers for Genesis since I like them much more than the standard 3-button controllers. I can't imagine that game implementing all six buttons unless they act as turbo or something. If I could see the manual I could make a more-informed answer. :D

Maybe it's because when that game came out, the 6-button controller was the standard. Sort of how some of the insruction manuals show the Genesis 2 in them and not the Genesis 1.
Does it show text with lines or arrows pointing at X,Y,Z?

You are weird.
When the Mega Drive 2 came out, it was released with the 6-button controller as standard. Manuals reflect this.
Now go learn katakana so you don't need to ask this sort of weird question again. It only takes a few hours to learn.

Lol I'm just saying it has a 6 Button Fighter Pad Icon on the back. There is a little text that mention XYZ but its probably mentioning it does nothing because it's in red and on the bottom of the page.
EDIT this is the page in the Manual I am talking about

In red text at the bottom it explicitly states that the XYZ buttons are not used. Case closed.

Then that's some BS on the back of the case there's an icon for the 6B Fighting Pad or something like that, If you can't tell I'm saying the back of the box has the BS not you, I believe you that it says the buttons arent used. But they got a lot of nerve advertising it for the 6 button pad if the extra buttons do nothing. Unless that icon means something else

*sigh*
That icon means that the game is compatible with the 6-button pad, not that it will necessarily use all the buttons. Some games do not work with the 6-button pad normally. That is why Sega added the "mode" button at the top-left. It changes it to a 3-button pad in terms of functionality so it will be compatible with games that do not accept the 6-button pad.
I'm not mean, I'm giving honest answers to questions that this member has clearly done ZERO research on. Since I'm answering these questions, I figure I have the right to be brutally honest. :2gunfire:

This is Urzu Logic we are talking about. In that form of logic, research and a thought process need not apply, but twelve hours of pointless topics on GameFAQs and no effort to use Google are needed instead.

I love how you assume, I didn't look up stuff about it, I already knew the game didn't use all 6 buttons because I have the game. Also I don't know wtf to search on google I tried and found no information. Also from what I understand is that the games that don't support the 6 button controller are very minimal so I figured the 6 button controller was the new standard because it is pictured in the manual instead of the 3 button controller.
also I assumed the 6 button was standard from this

because I assumed and you even said the 6 button controller was standard, I thought that the 6 button fighting pad icon on the back meant something different
EDIT: Basically when you said it was standard, I thought that the icon wouldn't be like putting an icon on the back of a Genesis or Mega Drive game saying that it supports 3 button controllers.
