But, I happen to be in Maryland (Laurel, to be specific) for a few days....just wondering, is there any shops/thrift stores/arcades I can check out while here? I already went to Crabtowne yesterday, took some pics. A decent selection of old-school games, but the A/C wasn't working, and the weather was 100+....was a little bit warm in there. Anyways, it looks as though we'll be heading towards DC on Fri. before going home. So, if there's anyplace I should check out, let me know, thanks!

I like how you used AC and DC in the same paragraph and neither had anything to do with power or the band. Props, good man.

But sadly I know nothing of the direct topic at hand, sorry.

You can try Power Gamer in Glen Burnie, it's not all that far from Crab Towne. Their prices run high but they have games in stock that go all the way back to the 2600. If you don't see the system you're looking for on display then ask one of the clerks and he'll dig up some old dirty boxes filled with games. The last time I went they were no longer displaying their stock of 2600 or NES games and I had to ask to see the boxes.

Personally I don't like the store much, prices are too high for me and they will sometimes check the price of the game you are asking about on Ebay in front of you to make sure they are getting "proper market value". Hopefully you'll experience will be different and you'll some great deals.

EDIT: Oh, if you're google searching you may come up with a toy store in downtown Annapolis who sells old games. Don't bother with it. They used to have some cool stuff and a back wall filled with a ton of 2600 games but they've closed down and are no longer around. I believe they were called the Bowie Toy Company or something like that.

There's a Value Village close to that Power Gamer place. Usually not much of a selection, but they sometimes have some neat stuff.
