So, you know when you pass a garage sale, you think to yourself, "man, this might be the place I find that crazy rare game for $1. I have to stop in."

Almost always, you end up with nothing. But, I got lucky for my first time. Instead of looking around, I asked the guy if he had any video games. Turns out, his 38-year-old son, who no longer lives with him, did.

Look what I found!

The second insert is of an item list and on the back is a monster list. Its in a delicate state right now, so I chose not to open it for the pic.

Great Find! A couple of months ago I scored Super Mario Kart & Mega Man X3 for 25 cents each from a garage sale. They were cart only though. Although, finding a complete Dragon Quest IV for $1 is a much better find!

Last summer I went to a yard sale that had boxes and boxes of NES games. A whole table worth. I was really exited until I saw what they were asking for them. Each game was individually marked at more than ebay prices. And he wouldn't budge on them.

The best deal I've made in recent memory was finding a box of Genesis stuff for $5. It had the system, various controllers, and a ton of games. I hardly ever find gaming stuff at yard sales though. Thrift stores and Craigslist is where I've had my best luck.

Yea, I usually don't find stuff at garage sales either, but I think from now on I'm going to do what I did last time: ask the seller if they have some "old games" in their basement or what not. NES, SNES, etc were huge, thus I think most people have that stuff, but just don't think about selling.

but we arent talking about July 2010 finds, or what-its-worth....

we're just talking about epic scores at garage sales.

The Finds threads are pretty much exclusively epic garage sale finds...

Also I believe there is a thread in the Classic Discussions that is dedicated to 'epic' finds. And if not, this all belongs in the 'What's it Worth?' anyway.

A find is a find. I doesn't matter even if you found a CIB Dragon Warrior 4 on a jaunt through a canyon on Mars... Well, that might deserve it's own thread, but not by virtue of what, but where and more dubious, how. LOL

Nice find man. You got your DW4, now give the people air! :D
