Bubble Bobble Jr.?

Does anyone have any information on Bubble Bobble Jr. for the original Game Boy? From the screenshots at the vgmuseum it looks to be the same or very similar to BB2 for Gameboy, and gamefaqs puts them on the same message board. Are they the same game? Does anyone here have these?
