No, we're not selling it (unless someone offers us ridiculous amounts of dollars), but we DO want to establish it's worth in case of fire, flood, zombies, etc.

What I am talking about is the Sharp Nintendo Television (do a quick google search, I'm too lazy to find pics).

We picked it up at a flea market for $30. Amy's ipod touch had a rarity guide that quoted it at about $180. It works, very well, and besides a little dust is in perfect condition. All four feet on it, screen is clear without scratches, etc. It does not have the remote or the special Sharp gamepads with it. We have seen similar sets priced around $900, and as low as $250 (but that one was beat the hell up).

What I am wondering is whereabouts this would fall in the spectrum and what we could accurately price it at? This is my second post (minus the introductory one), so if I'm in the wrong area or some such, I do apologize.

I own one myself, and have seen them on eBay sell for anywhere from $100 all the way up to $250 when listed auction style. I guess it depends on who wants one. Just fyi, another factor on value of this thing is the round feet on bottom. They are commonly found broken and it boosts it's value for them to be intact.

Yeah, this needs to be moved to "What's It Worth?".

Without the controllers and remote, I would say $150-$200 at the most. I sold mine for something like $175 a little over a year ago. That included two sharp controllers.

I don't know where the $900 comes from, but they're worth nowhere near that much.

Apologies, I looked around and didn't see a What It's Worth subforum or anything that looked more appropriate than this. Ours does have all four feet, so yay. :)

Thanks for the information. Still a good investment on our part.
The $900 is apparently coming from my own swiss-cheese memory. There's an ebay auction for one for $700 with 160-some odd games. 7, 9, they're close enough, right? XD

Thanks again y'all, appreciate the information.

I'd be willing to wager the 160-odd games factored into the price there, Jim ;)

It also has the remote and both controllers to boot.

There's one on eBay at $250 obo, and it has a single offer. It has all four legs and none of the accessories. That's probably your best price point.

Very interesting topic, I own one of these. Picked it up for about $40 if I recall.

While mine has all four feet and cartridge door in good condition, it lacks the remote and controllers. So if I sold it, I should be expecting $150-$250, correct?

Although likewise, I'm not looking to sell it for a while, I love the thing.

As a side-note (sorry if this is jacking a little): anyone had any luck getting a multi-remote to work with this thing? I've gone through four -admittedly generic- remotes that had Sharp codes and no dice.

I got my Logitech Harmony remotes to work with the NES Sharp tv, complete with game button.

I saw one of these on Cragslist of all places recently for $200. I passed it up, but I was certainly tumbling it in my mind. It had no cart door, special controllers or the special remote. For the record, the listing was closed so I think it was sold, for how much I can't say.

I guess a good offshoot question would be how much is the Japan-only TV with an SNES built into it worth?
