Dreamcast 2 Simple Questions from a Nooby.

So I've used my Dreamcast quite a few times and every time I start it it asks me to set the date and time. Is this something to do with batteries in the system? I think it's the saturn that has cr2032s inside, is it the same case with the DC? I just want it to save the settings. And also for curiousity what is the attachment on the bottom right side that says something about a fire hazard when you take it out?

The Dreamcast has an internal battery that's soldered in place. What you need to do is after setting the time play a game for about 2 hours to let the battery charge. After that if you leave the system plugged in you shouldn't need to keep redoing the date/time. If that doesn't help then yeah you might have to de-solder the old battery and replace it.

I believe that is the dial-up modem.
