I don't have room for all my shit, and so I'm moving my disc based games into Cd binders and putting the cases in a box. I have a lot of Gamecube games, and cases made for them will only hold about 12 discs, so i was thinking about just putting them in a regular sized one, but i'm worried they will move around inside, and that ti will scratch or damage them. Does anyone know or have any ideas?

I think as long as you don't toss the binder around or jostle it too much, they should be fine. Gamecube discs are remarkably resiliant...

I think they will be safe, I keep my GC Disks in a normal binder, and they're fine.
Plus, I used my GC disks as trophy stands once, (when I was young and naive) and I slid them across a glass table, and they got scratched to hell and back, and they still work.

I would personally avoid CD binders for GameCube discs, because they'll probably move around more than a normal size CD would. They'll probably fall out as you flip the pages, or at least move around and possibly scratch.
My best suggestion is to look around for different places to store them. If you can fit a shelf in a closet, try that. Closets are dark, so there's no risk of sunlight fading the cases.

I used to use a binder for my old PC games, and it doesn't keep the discs perfectly scratch-free. Especially if the design has a zipper with teeth, you may have to do some fancy fingerwork to keep the discs away from that (mine does, it's an Avery design from around 1998).
Personally I just use the original GameCube cases, and put everything away when not in use. They aren't as prone to breaking as the old jewel case design, and while they can be scuffed up if you move them around a lot (used games always surprise me) or keep them in a bag, I haven't had any issues.
If you want something temporary to put them in to keep the case nice, you can always use a jewel case, a discarded DVD case, or something similar. They're pretty easy to come by, and you don't have to buy them new.

I would have to see the binder. I have cd binders where regular size cds will just fall out if held the wrong way. As long as its a good binder and the pages are tight together, it should be fine.

Some binders are better than others. What you need to worry about are 'covers' that go across the top of each area a disc go. When pulling discs out of those, they can get scratched.
I have used Case Logic stuff for years, and the discs stored there are just fine. It's what I recommended when I worked in a music store to people for their Audio CD's, and what I bought.
Just remember, the bigger the CD wallet, the easier it is to decimate a game collection if something happens to it (lost/stolen). Buy a few 120's and then you'll be able to keep systems split up.

There are Gamecube-sized branded CD binders out there. I used to have one, I got it in a box of stuff that DreamTR sold me years ago, so they do exist.
Depending on your space availability, just buy some cheap slim-thickness cd jewel cases. They stack your collection into a much smaller space compared to original cases.

This is a good idea if you need the space. They also sell those cardboard drawer holders that have individual sleeves. Keeping them in this, makes more sense since the disc wallets seem to leave the discs with small scratch marks. I like the storage cases below:
