I found it in my closet. It's from the first DKC, and I can't seem to find any info at all on it. I don't know if it could be a promotional thing from CES, but that's my only guess at the moment.
I remember, some time ago, having a DKC T-Shirt, but I don't know where it is/if it's related. I might see if I can find that as well.

Yeah, I have one just like it; from CES (93 I think, in Chicago in my case) -- I don't think it came with a T-shirt though, at least not inside.

The shirt must have been a separate product. Yeah, CES '93 does sound about right. Was it just an empty box with a strap, or did it have something inside of it? It seems pretty useless to carry anything...

It had promo sheets, maybe pix/slides too. It worked well enough to pack full of other PR sheets and carry them around.

That's crazy. I remember getting a DKC VHS back before it came out from subscribing to Nintendo power. I never saw anything like that Brief kit though. Definately looks like it's from the SNES era though. Nice find.

bonus question, can anyone remember the PC game that came with a free pair of Big Dogs brand underwear because it was "so scary, you'll need a fresh pair"?

Aliens versus Predator, the 1999 version, came with a voucher for a free pair of underwear.

That's a cool-looking item. Seems kind of useless without the papers (unless you really want to wear it out), but still worth keeping around.
