this game gear repair is driving my crazy

I repair game gears all the time, replacing caps, broken traces and the like.

but i have this one with a few black lines across the screen.

cap replacement did nothing, i tried pushing on the lcd ribbon, still nothing.

its almost similar to the invisible lines you see on the old DMG gameboys, but they are black.

what can be done? i have had sucess with taking a hot air station to the invisible lines on the dmg's but this is a LCD screen on the game gears correct?

Are they thick black veritcal lines? (I'm talking 1/3 of the screen thick) where you can still see the image behind them, but the color is much darker?
