I have a rather simple question. I have never actually bought a PS2 game that has been under the Greatest Hits logo so, what I am wondering is, are the manuals any different than those from the original release, like having a big red "Greatest Hits" banner on it? I'm in need of both God of War manuals and I want them to match the original cases...

PS2 Manuals and PS3 manuals have no banners on them - they're simply the artwork. By all rights the only think that could make a GH and non GH PS2 / PS3 Manual different is if there's been an ad change on the back of the manual, or perhaps an edit of some kind.

Manuals are usually the same. Perhaps there might be a different catalog number, but otherwise they're the same as far as looks go.

Didn't some manuals get reprinted in black and white?

That's pretty ghetto.

Yes, some of they did. First party GH game manuals usually come in full color although the paper is thinner.

They're still printing manuals in black and white? I thought they quit doing that during, what, during the Genesis era?

IIRC, weren't the majority of PS1 manuals also B/W?

Pretty much all PS manuals were b/w from the get go.

I remember seeing Gamecube manuals in black and white as well as color. I think PS2 also does that on certain games. But as far as Greatest Hits and Regular, I believe they are identical.

More importantly some of the Greatest Hits have additional levels.

Some GH releases also contain bugfixes, I think.

Some GH releases also contain bugfixes, I think.

I can verify that for "Grand Theft Auto: Vice City". The Double Pack GH release had several bug fixes and replaced the Tear Gas with regular Grenades. The single disc GH release had the Haitian and Cuban gang stuff altered thus becoming the Haitian-Friendly version.

The bad thing about this is that the game saves from one version of VC will not work with the two other versions.
