5. Shorter lines.
4. Slot machines just a few yards away.
3. No one charges for their autograph.
2. I wasn't at Comic-Con (okay, maybe that's a point in their favor)
1. No fat chicks in Wonder Woman costumes.

you also left out nobody gets shot at cge over a rare game unlike comi-con where there was a shooting.

Wasn't it a stabbing or was there a shooting as well? I know a guy got stabbed in the eye with a pen right before the Marvel panel. Didn't hear about a shooting.

There was no shooting. Just some crazy guy who jabbed another guy in the head with a pen for sitting too close to him at a panel. Having just spent part of the past weekend at Comic Con, I can honestly say it's the only convention I attend every year where I immediately vow afterwards to never attend again, only to forget somewhere around mid-year how miserable and crowded it was and decide I will attend again. I have been going to Comic Con since 1987, having grown up in San Diego, but honestly, I hope they just move to Anaheim or another larger venue because it is very hard to enjoy walking around in a constant stream of people or waiting on line for 3-4 hours to go to a panel where you sit in the back of a room with thousands of people, far, far away from the panelists. I can't wait for the calm and spaciousness of CGE.

Reason #6:

You get to meet your heroes instead of having to dress up like them!

well, no, it's the same as comic con in that regard. i mean, you can meet the creators of comics and video games but you can't meet mario and sonic and superman and spiderman.

your right it was a stabbing.
I saw how packed comi-con was when I saw the coverage on g4. I wonder if the Chicago comi-con(formerly wizard world) is like that.

Yep, a stabbing. We were thinking about that panel, but were attending something elsewhere. Someone was walking around the exhibition floor on Sunday holding up a sign that said "free stab in the eye" with a hole he was looking through :p

As for things to add to the list... the auction? ;)

CGE also competes with Otakon (same time this weekend), very similar comparisons.
