I have a rather large MVS collection that I'm thinking about selling. I don't get to play with them much anymore and I already have a MAME cab with all the MVS game roms in it. Having a physical MVS collection seems redundant. However I do love the way they look in their shockboxes on my shelf so I'm not 100% sure I want to sell it. I'm not sure what to really ask.

The MVS system is a two board model that has been 'Consolized' with a JROK RGB board and the latest Universe BIOS. It also comes with with two controllers (a pad and the classic controller) and a PS2 controller adapter. The console also has a cool blue LED light that can be turned off and on with a switch. Here's a picture (forgive the horrible quality), it's on the bottom shelf:

All the MVS games are English labels with intact serial numbers (unless they were JPN only titles). I was really anal about the condition of the labels, so they're almost all in excellent shape. All titles also come with shockboxes and printed inserts:

I'd like to sell these as a set, but I know I can probably get more if I piecemeal them out. I might end up doing that if no one wants the 'Instant Collection'. Here's a picture that shows most of the games (sorry about the quality), but some are hidden off to the right behind the closet wall.

If I brought them I'd have to buy and extra seat to fit them on the plane!

Boner popped. That's an amazing display.

If the prices were right I'd be interested in a few of them. If you can get a price list, let me know. :)

Well going down the middle price of the Neo-Geo.com MVS price list, I came up with around $5,000 (which includes the extra shockboxes and the system with the controllers). I think the middle price range is fair because all of these are in great shape and have shockboxes. Of course with the complete kits the price might go up a bit, I need to look at what being complete does to the price of a cart.

Considering you're getting 95 games and the system, that's very fair.

It's good to get some feedback. I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to MVS prices these days. The $5,000 is only a rough estimate, a minimum I guess. I didn't take into account the complete kits and the other little odds and ends I think I still have (instruction cards and whatnot). The mintness of the labels and the complete shockboxes with inserts may make the carts worth more, I really need to look into it. Of course there's always a bit of discount when buying a bulk lot. I think if someone were to buy the lot and sell the titles off individually they could easily turn a decent profit. I just don't have the patience. :)

I used excel to do a 'real' average price and came up $5,700 (the actual range was $4,690 - $6,765). This include the value of the shockboxes, inserts, and the system with controllers (plus some extra misc. items).

Of course the price is negotiable, but since everyone wanted a price range I thought I should post one.
