okay, I guys. As you may know I not very technical with this stuff but I have a broken DS Lite (was my little brothers). What happened was my brother was cleaning in with a wet tissue and when he was done it would not turn on at all. This was probably 6 months ago. Well I recently got hold of it and plugged it in and the light came on and it charged completely. When I turn it on the power light goes on for about two seconds and then just automatically shuts off. I'm assuming its water damage. Is this generally something that can be fixed. I have yet to open it because I don't have the correct screwdriver. Thanks for any info.

i fix ds lites and psps for a living

the important question is
does either screen flash when it turns off

best situation is blown fuse
liquid damage is worst
and maybe unfixable

it could just be a bad battery
have you tried to turn it on with the plug still in

Honestly, without knowing much more about it than what you posted; the first thing that popped into my mind was faulty battery. So to echo theknod, have you tried turning it on with it still plugged in?

Yes, I have tried turning it on while the battery was plugged in. As far as the screens go they get slightly brighter (but remain black) for about a second and then it turns off. Does the DSi have the same battery that I could try with?
