Unknown SNES Multiplayer Adapter

Anyone know anything about this adapter, in particular who made it? This is from the January 1993 issue of EGM (in the "International Outlook" section).

Looks (http://neoayato.com/Shop/images/260120104020.jpg) like it was made by a Japanese manufacturer called Party Room 21. According to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yonezawa_PR21), they were also known as Yonezawa PR21 and were eventually bought out by Sega and merged into Sega Toys.
