Im sure its nothing but I got a copy of Speed Devils and the front of the booklet is missing the devil. Instead the words are surrounded by flame. And on the back where the rating is it says "everyone" below it it just says "rating descriptor" where it would normally say Comic mischief, cartoon violence etc. I didn't see any other copies like it on ebay, is there a story behind why the artwork would be different?

I know its probably just something silly but was just curious if there was a story behind the devil face. And also, after looking closely its actually a sticker thats over the whole front cover, so under it there is probably a devil however its thick enough that I can't see through the light to tell.

I'm guessing that it was gussied up for release in a place that didn't like 'teh devil' on its cover (ala Utah). An interesting variant for sure. I'm all for acqisition if you're looking to sell! It's a new variant to my eyes and my otherwise complete US DC set (w/ variants).

I found a copy of the alternate artwork Speed Devils today at Game Over Games in Austin. As Lanzo said earlier it is just a sticker stuck over the standard booklet. On my copy the sticker wasn't precisely placed and I can see the top part of the standard booklet above the sticker. Both versions have "Rating Descriptor" on the back insert though so that's something that was just a mistake on the part of the person(s) who did the packaging. As Lanzo also said the sticker is very thick and I assume that they did that to keep the original artwork from showing through.

That's interesting. The sticker on mine is not perfectly placed either as I can see the original along the bottom. I got my copy from a member on here (in Kentucky, but I'm not sure where it originated) Still it's pretty cool to have though.
