View Full Version : Saw my first arcade in Thailand today.

So I moved to Thailand about a few days ago, and today I saw my first arcade on the bottom floor of a Carefour (kind of like Wal Mart). I saw a couple racing games, but the floor was dominated by PS2 games somehow hooked up to machines to accept coins. I'll get some pictures next time I'm there.

I take it you didn't play anything? Sounds like they didn't have many classics huh? Anyway, I'd like to see pics when you get the chance.

Nah, nothing there grabbed me, though the place was packed. I'll take photos for sure next time, didn't have my camera with me today.

It's so... bright... Hmm. There's a local mall nearby that a year or so ago had an arcade in it. The arcade shut down and it was replaced by a bunch of networked 360's and other console centric activities. Looks like that's what arcades are going to. I don't even see a single pinball machine in there.

Here they're just in the middle of the stores, mall kiosk style. Here's a Burnout 3 somehow rigged up with a wheel and other pretty awesome arcade controls I spotted today in Central Bangna right near my house.
