what is the diffrence between these two models, and which model is rarer?

from what I can come up with , it seems the mk-84000 was the original production model and included a dongle or cap that wend on the connection bus for the sega cd to be used when a sega cd was not present. The mk-84000A was a later revision made in china instead of japan, and was said to not require the bus terminator dongle.

Still no word on which version is rarer. I have two mk-84000's, but not a 84000A.
