That just made me sick. Oh please for the love of God do not let my daughter do an unboxing of any of my "new" stuff in the future!

I don't think she really mis-handled it or anything. And she seemed to be pretty interested in it. Even talked about maybe trying to hook it up sometime. I have no qualms against her. I think it's great a kid shows interest in some old computer hardware.

Who cares!
Its a Commodore 128! Those practically fall out of the frikkin sky lol.
If it were something rare/worth more, this might be more of a problem.
Like an Exidy Sorceror, or something

It's funny reading all the comments on YouTube about the vid. I've never really understood the desire to have sealed items. Open it up and enjoy! :)

Especially something like the C128. I opened a Sealed 1541 disk drive and caught hell for it.
I was like ok they made what 3 million of these? Who cares

I do agree that the it is a good thing the kid has interest, and I am not faulting her for anything. But man, finding a clean 128 in like new condition is hard enough (took me some time to acquire a non-yellowed one) and to see a NEW one being bumped and dragged along the hardwood floor is something that is not so good!

Wow! She "found" a C128 in her garage. It was probably there for safe storage by her dad so no one would mess with it, oh well. The machine wasn't treated the best, I've seen people treat machines way worse. I have no problem with unboxing, but something tells me that she will definitely get yelled out for this, definitely!

What's the bigger tragedy - that she opened the C128, or that what appears to be a sweet young girl with an interest in older tech, who probably made this video without giving it a second thought, will have to view hundreds of ignorant/perverted/racist nerd-rage comments? Gimme a break.
As was noted numerous times (but lost in the sea of nonsense of those comments) there were no seals on any of the boxes. So there's no guarantee it's really brand new, and nothing stopping her or her dad from putting it all back just the way she found it and selling it as "new."
