Is there anywhere where I can download or read old gaming magazines (EGM, Nintendo Power, etc.) from around the 16-bit era? I really would like to read some of those old magazines but I don't have the space for them in my house. Is there any websites sites that scan the old magazines in pdf or some readable form?

I downloaded .cbr files (just .rar files that are renamed for a comic book reader program). Demonoid had gigs and gigs of Nintendo Powers a while back. See if you can find em. If not, I'd be happy to burn you a dvd.

Did you bring enough of these for the rest of the class?

Since Nintendo Power went out of business I dont feel bad linking to this site, but maybe i shouldnt? Im just linking to the scans of different issues. If you have 7zip you dont need a comicbook reader program to open them, just extract to a file.

Emuparadise I've tapped over the years for strategy guides on certain RPGs and it's quite helpful. Those in annoying cbr/z formats I just rename to rar/zip and decompress then use Word 10 to redo them as PDF files which is really handy.
I was with NP mag since the Fun Club #1 and quit after the first issue those scrubs at FutureOne did. The tone of certain staff on there was very clear they were pulled off hardware they preferred as there was some snark and assholish type comments so I cancelled it and that hurt cutting off having that magazine after so long. I also sold off the entire stack I had too as it was like a couple hundred pounds of paper. I do miss the pre-CD era stuff, especially the old NES and SNES stuff, not so much N64 era, and I did love that mini run of their failed GBA Advance magazine too as it was pretty nice(4 issues total I think.)
I could see trying to find the PDFs now that NP is dead meat for the NES/SNES/GB era stuff as the art, writing and the rest was just fun, much like the goofy manuals games got in the day too.
HMM just looked it up, #97 (Dec 1994) is the last with the NES in it (Wario's Woods NES reviewed, last NES release by Nintendo) and around #105 is the last SNES one.

That was helpful, not to mention a year and a half late.
