Are there any changes of the two different majora carts? I havn't played it yet but I'd like to play the better version if possible. I've got a hologram sicker on one of them and a normal sticker on the other, both of the carts are golden. I kept running into bugs when I was playin OOT 1.0 and I don't want to go thru that again.
No spoilers please!

I know the earlier version has numerous glitches that you can exploit, but other than that I don't think there's any difference.

I got my copy for Christmas when it first came out, and my copy is the regular sticker.

If I recall correctly, the holographic label came on copies that were preordered. Much like the gold colored Ocaarina of Time carts were a preorder bonus. But I remember neither OOT or Majora's Mask being very difficult to find in their "limited" variation.

I recieved a copy of Majora's Mask as a Christmas gift that wasn't preordered and it had the holographic label.
The first run for the game that was sent out for early shipments had it. There weren't two versions at launch. Anyone buying it during the first couple weeks of release (Preordered or not) got the special label.

Ah yes. You would be correct. That would explain their easy availability after launch. I don't think I even saw a non-holo version for several months after release.

I tried that.. then found out some things I didn't want to know.
So the holo version is newer then the original sticker version? Do the bug exploits in the original sicker version make it worth keeping?

There's no such thing. There's the gold edition of OoT which was a pre-order bonus and then the regular grey cart edition. There were several internal revisions which made minor corrections and fixed bugs but the carts were visually all the same.

In the pre-order version, you find out Gannon is actually Link's father.

This is begging for a Photoshopping of The Empire Strikes Back for an article on Cracked. LOL

As I recall there isn't nearly as big a difference as there was between OoT versions. I may be wrong, but there weren't any noticeable graphics changes or glitches in the earlier version.

I'm pretty sure there's at least 4 versions of the game, and they changed some of the music/graphics between different versions.
