The other day at the swap meet, I managed to find a Model 1 (oval-buttoned, so I *think* that's Model 1) Saturn in a carrying case with 2 Model 1 controllers, cables and NIGHTS Into Dreams and Panzer Dragoon for $20. I'd always wanted a Saturn and, seeing it normally goes for double that at the least, swooped down. Noticed when I got it home that it had no video cable though, so here I am.

Would anyone know where I could get an official Sega Saturn A/V Cable for a good price? I've nothing but bad luck with 3rd-party cables on nearly all systems I've ever bought one for, so I'd rather not chance it with my Saturn :D.

Also, I'd love to get an official Model 2 controller as well. I hear they are the best controllers for 2D games period. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated :D!

I've never had much luck finding official Saturn A/V cables period, unless paired with a system :/ But if anyone has a good source i'd also love to hear it, as I have quite a few lonely Saturn consoles that could use some completing. Best of luck to you, enjoy your Saturn!

Sadly, the best place I've found is a local pawn shop that carries a ton of video game stuff.

You can find them on ebay and the like, but make sure you see a REAL picture of the thing before buying, so you can tell it from the glut of Chinese knockoffs.

You can get them on eBay pretty cheap. As for the controller, do go for the "model 2."
Its the original Japanese controller and feels a lot better in your hands. Sega America had the controller redesigned for whatever reason. :/

Ebay only seems to stock the generic AV cables, and I just can't trust them. I'll pjust settle for an RF for now. I go trift-shopping enough, perhaps one day I'll find one hidden in some NES power cables :D

Strange,I must have gotten a good Chinese knock off cable cause I've never had any problems with it. Then again it's a thick cable so it must have some great shielding.

The one I bought works wonders. Its gold-plated too. I've had zero issues since purchasing the cable in 2008.
