Used Dreamcast Question.

How do I know if a Dreamcast I pick up used at a EB or Funco will be able to read burned Cd's? Such as emulators.
Will all DC's read them?

Just look at the bottom of the Dreamcast. If it was manufactered on or before OCT 2000, it will work. I actually had one from DEC 2000, and that worked as well. To tell you the truth, I have never come across a DC that did not play cd-r's, even the black sports model worked for me. But, to be on the safe side, look for one within the first time frame I said earlier.

At DCEmulation they say that all Dreamcast will work. I've personally had almost every manufacture date and the've all worked.

i got my library of games from zektor, and come to think of it....i never looked, i just played.....works great, and i own the black sports model
