Hey,

I've finally got my basement arcade presentable/playable, so before the summer is over, I'm planning on throwing a party. Everyone's welcome to come (if they'll have a good time, bring 'em!). I'm in Manassas Park, VA (20111), about 30 miles west of DC. Let me know if you'd like to come (and how many will be coming) and I'll PM you my address/phone #. I'll supply the Pizza and Soda. Of course the games are on free play :) .

Here's pics: http://www.projectvb.com/arcade/ .

Looks awesome!

I have work until 12:30, and have to go somewhere with the wife, but let's see if I can talk her out of it >_>

Man that totally looks awesome, and I would go but I have plans to go see a friend from college all Saturday :(

I live about an hour and a half away from DC though so whenever something is going on give me a PM? I'm fresh out of college and need a good group to hang out with since my town (Easton, MD) isn't really up and up on social gatherings. It's filled with rich old people.

Good to hear a few of you may be able to make it... I just PM'd you guys my info (sorry if you got it twice, it timed out the first time, so I resent... but now I have two sent messages :P ).

vrikkgwj: Sounds good... there's not usually a whole lot going on around here, except I usually try to make my way to the Pennsylvania VG conventions, like http://www.toomanygames.com/ , and if you collect arcade games, the arcade auctions ( http://www.auctiongamesales.com/AUCTIONDATES.htm ) are worth going to.

Thanks for having us over :) We had a blast.

And my wife is now a fan of Berzerk :D

Thanks for dropping by guys... it was a lot of fun to hang out and play some games! Glad to hear most (everyone?) had a good time! I didn't notice anyone standing around bored in a corner... though maybe it helps that there's not many corners that you can stand in without getting drawn into a game ;)

I see that picture, and maybe I missed a post or something, but I would be interested in seeing pics of your basement arcade if you have them. Even that carpet is bringing back memories

Ah... yeah, I don't think I've posted pics here. I'll post them over in Arcade Alley shortly. I've got a video I'll be posting shortly as well.

Pat, it was great to meet you and thanks so much for putting this on! Off road is one of my favorite games, but I never had the chance to play the Track Pack version on an actual machine. I spent a lot of time on it yesterday and great to visit with you too.

I'm glad you had a good time! I know what you mean about Super Off Road... that's always been a favorite of mine, and after owning/moving several 3P machines, I decided to go with the smaller 2P version, since there's rarely more than 2 people playing the machine. The 2P machine is still pretty large, but the 3P machine is a BEAST. I also had never played the Track Pak in a real arcade, so I really wanted one of them as well, since more tracks and another vehicle is always better, right? ;)
