Something like Ninja Gaiden for NES but of course much more easy and relaxing?
Please help, thanks.

I'd go with Blaster Master if you're looking on the NES. It's really nothing like Ninja Gaiden, but it's much easier and pretty relaxing IMO. The music in that game is awesome.

I'd go with Castlevania 2. Almost all enemies in the game walk slowly left and right. If you happen to die and continue, even though you lose all your hearts, you restart at the exact spot you happened to die.
Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers is also easy.
If you really want it to be like Ninja Gaiden. Shadow of the Ninja, Ninja Crusader, or Ninja Gaiden 2. There's also another I can't remember at this time. Really easy game with a Ninja.

Relaxing action??? Metal Slug? :D How about first person, third person shooter? Or non-violent fighting game?

I really, really like these recommendations: Castlevania 2 and Blaster Master, yeah I've already played the contras and slugs too many times. About kirby yeah not really looking for something cutesy at them moment.
Thanks guys.

For Famicom (import NES) I recommend Pooyan

A cool title that's not been mentioned is Kick Master. It has the same sort of tense, serious plotline as Ninja Gaiden but the gameplay is far more laid back. The action is fun and fairly deep as you progressively gain access to a huge number of interesting attacks.

^ Minnesota Fats on the Genesis was one of my favorite games as a kid. Lots of fun and the difficulty gets hard QUICK. I made it to Fats a handful of times and I remember the excitement when I beat him! He would literally run the table on you 9/10 times and you had better not miss.

Castlevania 2
Since when is Castlevania 2 easy and relaxing??
I recommend Kung Fu, Jackal, Gun.Smoke, and Rusn'n Attack.

+1 to Ducktales & Rescue Rangers.
Also, Felix the Cat, Rockin' Kats, Kid Icarus, and anything with a game genie. :D

I definitely second Kirby's Adventure, Duck Tales, and Rush N' Attack.
Little Nemo The Dream Master is pretty sick too. I saw a copy at Digital Press last week. Grab it if you're local. The price was right, and it was in good shape.
Another option for an easy, relaxing adventure.. is to use a Game Genie for invincibility. If you're just looking for the adventuring aspect, and storyline, make yourself invincible in whatever game you want, and zone out.
I for one don't use a Game Genie for anything, but I'd assume this is what it's best at.

I'll second Little Nemo. That game is pretty awesome. You might also look into Monster party. It's pretty different, but it's not too difficult.

Anything with a Game Genie can be easy and relaxing. Thing is though, I would like a moderate challenge, cheating just kills games completely for me.
If you really want it to be like Ninja Gaiden. Shadow of the Ninja, Ninja Crusader, or Ninja Gaiden 2. There's also another I can't remember at this time. Really easy game with a Ninja.
Isn't Shadow of the Ninja pretty tough, cool game though, I have played it a lot though. Please tell me it's not wrath of the black Manta or something like that?
Little Nemo The Dream Master is pretty sick too
Awesome game, I loved it as a kid but I played it way too much, same with Ducktales also really cool though, both Ducktales games.
Rush n Attack, Battle of Olympus
Got to look these ones up.
Kickmaster
Actually I've got that game somewhere I remember it being pretty tough.
Metroid
Oh man I was never good at any of the M games, I prefer to just go from A to B and killing stuff but I remember suffering badly through a few Metroid games, even though I can see why people really like them.
I think a few more 16bit recommendations would be cool but try not to recommend something that everyone and everyones grandma has played a I guess, cause I've probably played them. Also are there a lot of fakes posts in here or is it just me.

I recently picked up Hook for the Sega CD. I believe it's also on the SNES. It's a pretty relaxing platformer also. Not the best around for sure, but the music is relaxing (orchestra on the Sega CD), and the atmosphere is nice. Also, the action is a bit slower paced which makes it relaxing too.

Battle of Olympus relaxing? The first area maybe. After that, it gets hard as hell.
Power Blade hasn't been mentioned and is a nice fun romp. Same with Vice: Project Doom.

Yeah, there we go. Wrath of the Black Manta. Plays like Shinobi.
Also Shadow of the Ninja isn't really too difficult. I mentioned Ninja Crusader because it's a ninja game but that one is actually really difficult.

Puzzle? Don't forget the Adventures of Lolo! It's SUCH an under-rated series. Part 1 can be had for $5 or less, 2 maybe will run you $10-15, and 3 is the hardest one to find (but is the best in the series!); I was able to find a boxed copy on eBay for $20 last year, but I think that may have been a fluke. It often goes for $30+.

Err... I breezed through Ninja Crusaders. It's easier than Ninja Gaiden in my opinion, and I only figured out halfway through the game that you could turn into animals!

Donkey Kong Country. With the exception of a couple of levels, the game is so zen.

battletoads
Battletoads is easy? I never got in to the NES version but the Genesis version was very tough for me. I played it with unlimited lives on the Game Genie and it took many hours to get deep in the game and I still never beat it.
Anything with a Game Genie can be easy and relaxing. LOL
Second that. If time were as available as it used to be when we were kids the Game Genie wouldn't be necessary. But with so many games and so little time it has become a great tool. I'm not the type who sets it on invincibility and runs through games but having unlimited lives gives you the best of both worlds IMO. You get as many chances as you need but you still have to be able to beat the sections.

Puss N Boots is an easy, fun romp. It's also nice that the levels are broken up with different gameplay styles. You'll be in a side-scrolling brawler one minute, and flying a plane like a shmup the next. There's platforming in there too. Fun game, definitely. It gets a bit challenging near the end.

And of course it has action bursts to round it out.

Ecco The Dolphin is far from an easy game. It's similar to saying Battletoads is an easy game.
Capcom/Disney games on the NES, SNES, and the Genesis are all pretty fun & easy games to play.

For Nes I love Uforia. It is a pal excusive. It does run fine on a modde US Nes. And it is a great game. Check it out.
I'm throwing in Code Name: Viper because that games doesn't get enough love, also the NES Strider.

Aside from the Quick Man stage, I think Mega Man II is definitely a relaxing game. It even uses a password feature so you don't have to be planted on the couch for a few hours while you finish it.

As an alternative to Ninja Gaiden, Blue Shadow I found easier and is a nice game overall. Also Mighty Bomb Jack is pretty easy going and decent. Both games are NES.

Excuse me?! I don't appreciate you telling me to 'go and fuck a dog' in Dutch (lousy babelfish translation there, BTW) and will report your post to mods in charge.
I liked Universal Soldier, it's easy going and think it has some catchy tunes, anything wrong with that?

My apologies c2000 I meant to tell you, you are a dog for recommending such a very, very difficult game. (probably one of the most difficult genny games I've played.) So sorry. I would say it is harder than Contra Hard Corps.
Maybe I should have rather used English instead. My Dutch sucks.

Alright then.
On Universal Soldier; the game is basicly one big 1UP/power-up fest, don't you agree? I'm not THAT good and I managed to beat it without any trouble.
