Two Worlds II and Fallout: New Vegas?
I'm excited about both of them. I have been wanting to play something like TW2 since I played through the horribly glitch-ridden Divinity 2 on the 360. DA:O was a good game, but I lost interest fairly quickly (25 hours in I believe). Fallout 3 is one of my favorites ever, so NV is a no brain buy in my mind.
Splatterhouse and Fable III are also coming out, but I'm not as excited about them as the others. I've just never been able to get into Fable. Splatterhouse has some major potential, but I want to see it before I commit.
Rockband 3 comes out in October as well, but...meh. I enjoy playing guitar hero/rock band games, but this will be a $10.00 used copy pick up for me next year.
What do you guys think? Is anyone else looking forward to October?

Dead Rising II will be so awesome that it makes October better.

No mention of Deadrising 2 at the end of September?!?! Blasphemy!!
I'm a RPG fan and thoroughly enjoyed Dragon Age, you missed out on a classic. I've heard nothing but good things about FallOut and Fable but never played any of the originals.
Do you think it would be worth me hopping in mid series and starting with one of those? My backlog is already horrendous anyway and I don't see myself going back through them in order...
Edit: Port beat me :(

Well, 9/28 isn't really October :)
I've never played the first one. I need to pick it up!

I liked what I played, but just lost interest. I might pick it back up. Thinking back, I was probably actually into the 30-35 hour range. I forgot that I played a little more a few months ago.

Fallout 3 was the first in the series that I played. You can ABSOLUTELY play it without worrying about missing out on anything. NV is supposed to have a completely different story/main character from 3, so that's an easy yes also.
You can get the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 3 for cheap now. You might pick it up if you can find it. It's worth it IMO.

Don't Forget Force Unleashed II in October.
Between that, Fallout NV, Dead Rising 2, Splatterhouse and the new Hot Pursuit I'll be set for the rest of the year. Might pick up Halo Reach when and if the TRU buy 2 get one sale comes around this year.
Only game I'm looking forward to is Dead Rising 2, but even that I may end up holding off on for a bit due to an overwhelming backlog, as well as trying to cut back on my expenses. I'm also interested in New Vegas, but again I'll me holding off on that because I still haven't finished Fallout 3 yet.

My only concern about NV is reall if they put out several peices of DLC and I end up having to rebuy it in a year just so I can get all of the DLC on a disc.
I'd probably wait on Dead Rising if it weren't for the Zombrex edition. For some reason I really like that package

I thought about that too, but I want the CE so I'm pretty much stuck.

Great. Another $150 for a game I will never play.

Is that an RC car? That's a very unpredictable, if not somewhat odd, LE bonus.

Dude, it's an RC car with a fucking camera on it and the remote has a monitor to see what the car sees.
Which is why I can't turn it down, just like the NV goggles.
I can't wait until next year when they just give you a live grenade.

I'll be picking up the Prestige Edition also. I didn't get the PE for MW2. I don't know if I regret it or not (I've had plenty of fun playing the game without the NV goggles. BUT...

The only game in October I'm looking forward too is Fable III. I played Fable II to death when it first came out.
I'm more looking foward to September. Friggin' NHL 11!!!! OTP (online team play) is awesome, and tournaments glore! Also Halo Reach comes out in Sept. Not sure if I'll pick this one up yet, but it's on my radar.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 is the only game in October that I'm looking foward to. But I'm not sure if I really want to pick it up at release because you know they are going to make DLC for it and eventually repackage the whole thing for a much more affordable price.

October should be great for me, but I'm probably the only one on the edge of my seat to import Solatorobo. :P I haven't been this excited for the release of a new game in many years.

Splatterhouse or bust for me (which should be absolutely no surprise to anyone).

Castlevania Lords of Shadow, Splatterhouse, Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast 2, Tenkaichi Tag Team, Final Fantasy 4 Heroes of Light, and Vanquish for me.
The only one I might buy on day one is CV Lords of Shadow so I can get the Collector's Edition, but all the others I'm going to wait until I find them at a sale price or a lower price.
Test Drive Unlimited 2 got pushed back to 2011 and Phantasy Star Portable 2 comes out on 09/14. Ys7 Limited Edition is on its way to my house right now. I'm going to wait on Valkyria Chronicles 2 since I'm not going to be playing it immediately and there's really no reason to purchase day one in that case.

I work private security, and I can think of many work related uses for that thing. I think I'd also buy one just to get a good and easy look at cramped spaces or running cable/wire through a crawlspace at home... I like the whole camera equipped RC vehicle angle. So, screw the grenade, I'd hope for a Predator Drone. I honestly find the RC stuff more useful than the grenade already. Why go backwards? LOL
If a Predator Drone is too far fetched for ya, could I interest you in a BB/Air-soft Gatling gun? :D

If people knew what it was, I'd say a few more would be happy to see it but I doubt many will know it has anything to do with tails.

Solatorobo
If it was in English I would pick it up. The DS has had very little to look forward to for quite awhile. I might pick maybe five games up for the system that are released, or have already been released, this year.

No kidding. Other than DQIX, I've just been going back and picking up some stuff from the last couple of years that I skipped over.

The date hasn't been announced for Cata and I would really be surprised if it makes November. They have a lot of ground to cover. Achika is in the beta and she runs into bugs and unfinished stuff all the time.

To give Kupo some ideas, I reviewed my 2010 DS nabs.
Released as of today and owned today:
Korg DS-10 Plus (twice)
SMT: Strange Journey
Glory of Heracles (~$10@amazon, haven't touched it, hear it's kinda weak)
Warioware DIY
Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth (bye bye Apollo... the skipped series entry)
Preordered:
Etrian Odyssey 3
Planned pick-ups:
DQIX
XG Blast
I'm doing better than 5, but barely... Stranger when considering DS is my most used current system. It's not just this year either, for me last year was a little slow too.
2009: 10 games
The rest of my games... Some recent purchases are not included because they're not on the spreadsheet.
2008: 25
2007: 17
2006: 22
2005: 24
2004: 5 (only 2-3 months, scaled to 12 months that 5 becomes a weighted 20-30)

I'm glad that the DS gets some love here from so many people. It has some great titles for sure (just like the GBA). I still need to pick up Strange Journey and Devil Survivor. I let the DS sit for over a year due to the 360 playing I've been doing. I picked it back up for DQIX and I'm REALLY glad I did. If you're a classic RPG fan and you don't have a DS, you are missing out on a ton of future classics. My favorite game for the system is Puyo Pop Fever though! Cheesy I know, but Puyo Pop is the most addictive puzzle game I've ever played.

There is nothing worth getting excited about anymore, except maybe a big price drop on Steam - and once your Steam library gets clogged with games you haven't played, not even those are terribly exciting.

I dunno, even though I don't buy DS games that often, I don't really see a drought in releases. Of the five current systems, I see the DS as having the largest assortment of interesting titles released at any given time. It seems like there's always something big coming out worth getting, like Dragon Quest IX and Etrian Oydssey III as of late, and then there's a steady stream of cool, obscure titles as well.

Ah yes October should be a great month for gamers. I'm mostly interested in RB3 and one of the new NBA games. At least those are the only ones that I'm going to pick up at launch. I'm totally geeked for the RB3 pro Fender strat guitar.
Also, on the subject of CoD: Black Ops, I kinda want to preorder the prestige edition but I have some doubts. Is anyone that is going to get it worried that it's going to be a piece of shit that doesn't work properly? Or made really cheap?

I know a friend that made the mistake of purchasing the MW2 Prestige edition. The goggles were ATROCIOUS and I doubt that the car will be any better. If you really want it, I'd pre-order the regular edition and purchase the Prestige edition used on eBay later.
I can't believe no one has mentioned Medal of Honor yet. I've already pre-ordered it and I anticipate that I'll be playing it long after I've sold Black Ops (MW2 was a huge disappointment for me, I ended up selling it in January). I'm only buying Black Ops because I'm a sucker for Cold War games.
I also plan on getting New Vegas later this year but I have to get around to buying the GOW edition of Fallout 3 and beating it first. Can't believe I waited two years to play Fallout 3; it's an epic game. Even though New Vegas isn't a direct sequel, I want to do everything I can in the third before moving on.
