Was looking at a goodwill auction and noticed a weird cartridge, which they are giving as a "bonus item", which is the gold cartridge in the picture...any idea what it is? Was just curious before I even though about bidding on it :p

It is a Honey Bee adapter - to play Jap games on your NTSC NES. The grey game on top is therefore most likely a Japanese game.

You are correct about the adapter, but I believe that the game inserted in it is a pirate "999-in-1" type game (200-in-1 in this case), probably made in Hong Kong or China. It's a famicom cart, btw.

Thanks for the input guys. Looks like I won't be bidding on this then. :p

It's already more than I'd pay, but I'd bet all the bids are for that one item.

I dont understand why people bid so high on these goodwill auctions it makes no sense.

Probably because they're under the false impression that they can write off any payment to Goodwill on their taxes. Some people just don't understand the difference between a donation and a payment. Sad but true.
