I was at my usual game store today and was browsing the PS1 games and they had a copy of Team Buddies. Unfortunately, it did not have the manual. I knew it was one of the rarest PS1 games, but without the manual, I left it. They were selling it for $35, so I am thinking about just biting the bullet and go pick it up tomorrow. How rare is it to see a manual for the game on ebay?

Is $35 a good price for an essentially disc only copy?

Most of the ones I've seen/sold over the past couple years have been in the $30-$50 range complete (I've found no fewer than 5 copies locally in the stretch of 4 years o_O ). Frankly, I can't say I could bring myself to pay more than $15-$20 for a disc-only copy.

Last time I looked, the price on this game was inching its way up to $75 and beyond, but that was at least six months ago or longer. I don't think I've ever seen a manual only auction for this one, tho.

I'd say that a disc only copy should pull about 20. Going much higher and you're not super likely to be able to cover the 35 let alone make anything on it. The copies that i've gotten over spread over the last 3 years (one for a friend, and one for me) have both run me about 50, one being on eBay, the other here on DP.

I've seen that copy at Gamers for a few weeks now. Never bothered to ask the guys what shape the disc is in.

I bought a complete copy a year or 2 ago from a DSM IA Gamers for 29.95 so thay have raised the price a bit. I get around to all of the stores in IA and NE and have only seen 2 copies of this ever, counting the one I bought.

Personally, for that price, I would hold out for a complete one unless it you just want to play it.
