I use eBay quite often, and I'm getting really sick of having to enter my username and password all the time because it automatically logs me out every 8 hours or whatever. Is there any way to extend this so it never signs me out at all? I tried changing the dates on cookies from eBay sites, but there are dozens of them, so I quickly gave up. The fact that I commonly use both ebay.com and ebay.ca makes it even more annoying, as each site has it's own cookies and it's own sign-in.

I realize there are some potential security issues here, which is the reason they force you to sign in as it is... but I'm the only one who uses this computer, and any time I'm away for more than an hour, it's password protected, so I'm willing to live with it.

I'm not aware of any way to do it and frankly, even if you are the only user, this is risky because someone can always hack your computer. It takes literally ten seconds to log into Ebay. Suck it up and consider it a cost of being safe.

Check the little box that says sign me in for today and don't close the window when you're done. I've stayed logged in for days this way.

I usually click that button that says keep me logged in and when I use firefox it asks me if it wants the information saved so I do so. I still have to log in everyday but the name and password are filled in already for me, so all I need to do is click sign in. Ya its not safe but a lot quicker.

What browser are you using? I abandoned IE a long time ago, so I don't know what it has, but Opera has a function that will save login info for various websites. All I have to do is click the little key button right next to stop/reload and I'm logged in automatically to whatever site I'm on, as long as I've done it before and told Opera to save the login info.
