I stumbled across this on youtube

what a jackass. If you don't like something, put it for free on Craigslist or give it to Value Village / Goodwill.

Unfortunately there is a large quantity of asshat in the world today. Expect some people to be morons and intentionally destructive on a whim.

It'd have been a cool video if the lighter he used blew up in his hand.

lol LOL
At one point he tries to act all tough with the sledgehammer, but has no idea what type of sledgehammer it is. Also, I think he was trying to seem tough/cool using the saw on pacman, but it really was pretty pathetic. A real man would get through that in about 5 seconds (or 1 second using the right tools).

And if he was really creative he would have found some less... cliched ways of destroying things. A saw and hammer is pretty lame.

A friend of mine once told me that he threw out all of his old NES games because his system died. I asked him why he didn't sell the games to a game store, he said he wouldn't have got much for them so he'd rather throw them out than get a few bucks for them.

I watched this, and laughed. A) He's some kind of total jackass kid. and B) The money he spent on the stuff in the first place, both for the games/controller and for the tools could have been put towards speech therapy for that god awful speech impediment he has.

Noooo, give me the Atari spring cart mechanism. I need them to fix my Vectrex controllers...nooooo. Since people like to smash stuff, why not kick it up a notch and smash classic cars, rip up classic comics, destroy sports memorabilia and so on.

Same here, thought it was just dumb! LOL I've seen many other similar videos, and stuff like this doesn't even affect me anymore. Only is ok to watch if the dude in the video gets hurt or something, then it's entertaining.

Blasphemy!
In the end, I feel like it's this guys right to do what he wants with his own stuff, just like those idiots who stood in line for PS3s only to come out of the store and smash them in the parking lot. But, just like those guys, it's still stupid.

I guess it's ok as long as it's to make a movie.
It's not like I like seeing that stuff destroyed, but they were common games and the joystick was already not working so it's really not that big of a deal. How many good games are destroyed to make repros? People here don't seem to have a problem with that.

how many of you never throw a single thing away that could possibly be resold or donated? Precious few of us have that kind of time on our hands. Now, the guy's an idiot for trying to be a star for this, but he's not an idiot for trashing his stuff

Time? How much time does it take to throw some shit in a box and write "FREE" on it, or drop it off at a thrift store once a year?

This reminds me of the asshats from "Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This?" and "Smash My _________". It's a sad world when a bunch of idiots go out of their way to make a microwave execution room to destroy things with, and an even sadder one when there's idiots who blow $300-$600 on a new system just to smash it because "it's fun". These pricks make me sick.

A loser and attention whore, yes. But he probably got a dozen more views thanks to this thread. By posting the link, you are doing nothing more than giving him exactly what he wants. (I've seen plenty of that crap in the past on YouTube so I'm not bothering to watch.)

Is It A Good Idea To Microwave This? is a awesome show :o
It pissed me off when they microwaved the GameGear/Gameboys/Atari/Nes/PS3/Wii/Xbox 360 though.

The comments people have made are pretty funny.
I just noticed that he's one of these guys that, in his video description, puts other YouTube people. He's got irate gamer, avgn, inonecompany, etc... His videos mist not be good enough to get hits otherwise.

Now, the guy's an idiot for trying to be a star for this, but he's not an idiot for trashing his stuffI never discard anything practical that can be resold or given away to someone else who would appreciate it. I'm almost amazed that people think that way, honestly.
Anything of reasonable worth that I don't want anymore I put in a box and either garage sell it over the summer, or drop it off at the local thrift store. Some things I'll just put in an area near the dumpster behind my studio since I know pickers from the apartment complex down the street will find and make use of them.
It's just not in my nature to be wasteful, and it certain isn't in my character to be an attention whore who celebrates his vices online for kicks. I haven't watched the videos, but from what people are describing, that guy does sound like an attention whoring idiot.

No he doesn't. But I will agree both his fat face and his voice are weird. He creeps me out.

I think he should go even further and find some way to cave in his own skull. That would be a hell of a video.

This came out of left field, considering he invested over $1000 on it, to the extent of considering it a way to upgrade one's life. Still, something tells me he didn't think of destroying it on his own.

His PSN account has been hacked numerous times by trolls, actually. What recently happened was he formatted his PS3's hard drive without realizing it and lost everything. Check this out (site isn't exactly work-safe so be careful): http://cogsdev.org/cwcki/PS3

Actually, it turns out he was attempting to infiltrate 4c*an when their idiots outsmarted him by saying whoever got Chris to destroy his PS3 would get $9001, meaning that Chris: a)Believed he would get $9001 b)Chris doesn't get the joke c)He can't troll worth a damn and d)He's about to start something with the retards at 4c*an. This is going to be a laugh.
