How to rmove the password from PS2?

I've tried every thing but go through every number. Is there a way to change the parental control 4 number code on a PS2?

I do know PS2 consoles have an internal battery (at least the slims).

Have you tried removing the battery?

When it tells you it is locked,press select then enter 7444.
