Neutopia & Dungeon Explorer on TG-16.

Can you guys remember when that dinky fireball became that cool-ass fire-whip thing? Burning everything in sight?

And writing down the password while you were stoned? And writing the "0" as an "O" ?Or how about moving the rocks to get into those tunnels?

I loved this game. When I was tired with it, I'd switch to Dungeon Explorer.
And maybe if I was itching for action....Dragon Spirit!!!

Man I love those memories. Three great games.
My point is, what games did you rotate between, like a "tag-team" typa thingie?
Y'know what I mean?

I had similar memories in the Playstation era. Alternating between Alundra (action), Suikoden (turn based) and Vandal-Hearts (strategy) the most. Beyond the Beyond got the most play out of me though. I loved its simplicity and challenge.

Oh yeah, I had PSX "rotation" too!

Panzer General (Strategy), King's Field (RPG) & Wipeout (Racing).

I love Suikoden, dude. Great game, I remember buying "Beyond The Beyond" because I read in some mag that it would "do" until Suikoden came out. BTB was a fine game indeed, but NO Suikoden. I also loved Vandal Hearts. Have you tried Tactics Ogre? One of my all-time faves!

I bought a used TG-16 a couple of years ago, eventually picking up both Dungeon Explorer and Neutopia.

Those games are great! Very simple games but so much fun!

You didn't need to be stoned to screw up those 1000 character passwords. I can't tell you how many times I tried to continue only to find out the code was messed up. I would sit there and try different letters and numbers to see if I could figure out what I wrote down wrong. I swear I spent more time with the passwords than the games. AD&D Order of the Griffon was the WORST!

I highly recommend playing Order of the Griffon and Neutopia with a Turbo Booster Plus, Turbo CD, or Duo so you can use the game's save option. Sadly Dungeon Explorer doesn't have that option.

What I remember about Dungeon Explorer is the secret ending where he goes for booze & chicks.

As for Neutopia, I played and finished the game but can honestly say I remember very very little of it. This is actually a good thing because that means I can play it again today and it'd be a relatively fresh experience... unlike SNES Zelda where I know every nook & cranny by heart and is no longer fun to play. :)
